I definitely see girl as sweet and naive, she's an adorable character so far! I like reading your posts, and the way she's interacting with Lucian is great. :)

See, I'm trying to make Devin resemble the Yin-Yang in a way -- one's white, one's black (one's male, one's female), but each has a dot of the other inside... a void they want to fill with what the other side has.

Secretly, Boy envies Girl's sweetness... he rebukes her for seeing meaning in helping people, but his own compassion argues with him, and he wants to be able to be that sweet... while Girl wishes she wasn't so sweet, and wishes she had more of Boy's harsh and critical outlook so she could feel more confident of herself.

So both want to be each other, really, and both of them are shocked at the other's want... ^_^

What's up with this organization though. I am obviously a member but I don't know what it concists of or what it's purpose is.

Ventrue is a vampire clan. You're either a vampire or... somehow serving the vampires. Perhaps you have some job that you were sent to do, and perhaps you are the only survivor, and have lost your memory? That would create an interesting situation, with people from both Ventrue and the target clan/organization of the mission trying to hunt you down.

If you like that idea, then the next thing Cel says should probably be asking you about the mission (which of course you don't remember, though maybe a tiny flashback of one character would be cool, and give you something to look for in order to trigger your memory again).

I suppose you could be a half-demon, unaccepted in human society, who has been raised under Ventrue... but I dunno if there are actually "demons" in the world of Vampire... I suppose White Wolf wouldn't kill us if we changed things around though. ^_^

Perhaps just half-human, half-some other planar being that just gives you similar abilities? And that looks like a demon? And that comes from a plane that resembles mythological/theological Hell? ^_^
 
Oh, I just checked the story thread... Mirad, I'm confused by your posts, you did like a double post and then something else... could you do some editing and cut out the posts you don't want and fix them up so we know what happened?
 
A final note:

For the sake of NightRayne and everyone who only acts during the night, I have had my character awaken from her rest during the night. Hopefully that way we've zipped up the time frame.

However you do it, Mirad, the next thing you want to do is probably hear of The Oracle, a new night club with a reputation for mystical endevours, and head there to meet up with some other characters.

Probably your character will come to the conclusion that sticking around the mansion isn't a good idea (since you probably failed your mission) and you ought to join a team for safety and to slowly remember your old skills and even acquire new ones.
 
So we are in night 2 now? If so, my last post needs serious editing. Lol.
 
No, I think you did well, Morgoth. It's not like we want to skip from morning to night without any transitions or anything. I just want everyone to keep up with NightRayne's post... and there's really no reason to stay during the day.

Do me a favor and tell Mirad to check what I wrote, if you can, Morgoth, so he can fix up his posts. ^_^
 
Hey all, there's really not too much need to keep up with my posts. I wanted to get that posted so I wouldn't forget it and we were close to evening and I was going to wait to post further. I will try to wait next time, if someone could just say...OK next day/night whatever. Since this is my first Message board type RP/storytelling, it is a little confusing.. I guess I am too used to chat room RP. :)
 
No, I think things are going smoothly -- and I'm really sorry if I'm bossing people around. I just know from past experiences that it can really screw up a good game if people start doing things in different time periods... and it also becomes hard to read through the thread.

My personal opinion though, NightRayne, is that you posted at the perfect time -- I think we've done everything we need to do during the day...

Don't worry NyghtRayne, we all had our first posts and threads here at one time, and I know we all remember how scary it was to get started and figure it all out! You're doing just fine. :kiss:
 
I really like your posts, NightRayne... hopefully we'll soon get you into a position in the game where you can post more. :)

I certainly hope I'm not intimidating you somehow... it sure is hard to keep things together when everyone's doing different things, though.

Hopefully as soon as El posts, Devin will wander into the Oracle lobby and maybe we can begin some random interaction between our characters. ^_^
 
lol... i told her that several times... dont worry about it, its a learning experience, no one is going to yell at you, just write what you feel...

but apparently she doesnt believe me... lol

No..no..no... I do believe you but it's kind of hard, I am not the best writer...trust me I've tried writing stories and get a character introduced and lose the story in my head, so I have about three or four things like that on my computer. :) But I am trying to stick with this, cause I know it'll get easier. :)

Thanks for the encouragement...I'll keep trying. :)
