How long would it take to evacuate those still alive inside? Those towers are HUGE, and contain just an enourmous amount of people. Even with all those dead, there must be just hundreds trapped inside still.

I certainly hope they get out safely, and hope no one elses dies in such a needless attack.

Has to be terrorist attacks - the second plane, at least, was a commercial sized aircraft. Two planes - in restricted airspace - crashing into the two towers is no coincidence. Had to be coordinated.

My kids are home from school today - I can't decide if I should have them come watch this or not... I feel they should, they should know - but its the kind of things that shouldn't be in a child's world...

I wouldn't even venture a guess as to who did it. Could be any of a number of nuts out there. But it had to be well planned to have two planes hijacked and crashed so close together in time. It has to be a group, not an individual nut.

They are saying that most likely any phone in's they get for claiming responsibilty are most likely false this early on. They were claiming attack just as the pentagon went up in smoke.

They are saying it is largly irellevent at this point to listen to anyone who claims that they are responsable.

President Bush is on his way to the white house, right now, but I wonder if they will take him elsewhere now, with the attack on dc.

Sears Tower is closed in CHicago, no air crafts in the us are taking off at this time. They can not confirm yet what is going on.

that people are jumping from the WTC. Can you imagine? Horrifying! They are grounding all airplanes all across the country.
