World Trade Center-Plane Crash

some things shouldn't be forgotten.

yesterday, in the newspaper, there was a picture of the 36 4y/o children who never got to meet their daddies, because their fathers were killed on 9/11 before those children were born.

it was a touching picture.

Both buildings of WTC have collapsed. God bless all the emergency management workers.
I can't believe it.

Lit was a definitely a place of comfort that day.

I'll never forget. :rose:

Omg!

I remember that morning so well, too.

I was terrified watching the news alone, and came to Lit hoping to make some sense of it. It was comforting here.

Though I lost no one close to me that day, it was a day that changed the world for me and I have never been the same and never will. I lost a piece of my soul that morning. :(

In memory of all those lost on 9/11/01 and in honor of all those who helped in the aftermath and in support of all loved ones who lost someone.

May justice be done as we continue to seek and bring justice for them.

I Did Not Die

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle Autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush.
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there;
I did not die

I just read through this entire thread and feel as though I've lived through 9/11/01 all over again. The emotions of that day are always there -just below the surface. They bubble to the top and spill over whenever I recall that day.

We must never forget.

Sighs.

A day etched into my memory. I still feel that emotional rush.

Always.

The President just spoke. Whoever did this will be hunted down. I fear more attacks in the meantime though.

So many must be dead, much worse than the Federal building in Oklahoma...

For anyone who is religious, now is the time to be praying for the poor victims and their families.

Annnnnnnd....yeah.

Fucking idiotic administration.

Easter 2001 I was standing at the bottom of the two towers with my two children, we had travelled from New Zealand and enjoying a holiday in New York.

9/11, I was walking along a street in Paris, heard the commotion and shouts from a brassiere, went inside and watched as the towers fell.

In memory to all those that lost their loved ones.

R.I.P.

it's 10am here ;)

OIC.

I thought I saw you on earlier. Here, it's bedtime (2:30 a.m. or so).

I have to drive to Las Vegas and catch a plane to Kansas City on the 13th.

Never been there.

Nite.

My cousin works on the 30th floor of the 2nd tower. I just heard he is okay.

I can't imagine how many were killed or injured. There were reports of people jumping out of the building. It makes me sick thinking of the terror experienced by the victims and the anguish their families will endure.

Until now I was against our country elliminating leaders who we considered a threat to our security. No longer. Those responsible for the attacks should be hunted down and killed like the animals they are. They aren't fit to share the planet with us.

Remember who did this.
Funny thread.
