The loss of life is unimaginable. Not only were the Tower workers attacked, but many rescue workers were killed when the first Tower collapsed. CNN isn't sure NYC has the resources to cope.

Yes, all airports are shut down and a friend informed( hear say, mind you, but she works in Raleigh, NC) me that all state capitols (on the east coast at least) are being shut down.

St. Vincent's hospital - lower Manhattan - ambulances pulling up every few minutes with injured and critically wounded...

Doctors are asking for anyone in NYC area and suburbs to go to hospitals and give blood...

NYC is saying so far.. 10,000 people gone.. and count will only go higher

3rd plane can carry up to 350 people... but news is saying that it may not be related to others

A piece of one of the buildings has hit a elementry school.......more people are being evacuated. They have people carrying and dragging others down the street to get away.
