I agree. Meeting for a coffee or a drink is a great ice breaker and an opportunity to feel out someone's personality and sense of humour. Being in a public place makes it a safe and comfortable situation too.

And coffee and/or lunch is an even safer bet as the expectations are much lower - allowing for a true “ get to know you” first (for those of us that prefer a connection)

There are a small handful of people here i wouldn't cross the street for, if I were in their neighborhood and they already had a cup of coffee, in hand, for me.

I started this thread a while back but can’t find it anymore.

So starting part 2.

Earlier I was not sure but now I would love to but you hardly get any people travelling to India.

But whenever I travel to the US, I would love to.

I’m new here, but since I’m exploring new territory I’d probably be open to opening up to/with like minded lits as I dive deeper.

I have done it at least 9 or 10 times and have always had a good experience that exceeded my expectations. I have met some wonderful people and I am still in contact with most of them on a regular basis. This site has been amazing for meeting like-minded people

As others have said, if the chemistry is right then yes. First time is always in public, no expectations except to have a good conversation. I've actually met several (not from here yet) through other sites. Majority had a good time, went well. A few there was limited compatibility thus it never progressed beyond the 1 time. A few also led to a long relationship. You never know, not in a big rush either.
