We know this. What is our place in this battle? You speak for them do you not?

The old vampire raised a brow.

Your place is at our side

The young witch is going to try to summon him with her magic, but he has seen it once

If he tries or is able to possess her, we need to rid him from her, and capture him, and rid him from our midst, we must kill him by whatever means we have to

Does Gregory think it wise for her to be such risky bait?

An old man spoke up.

Or for one so young to speak for him like a common foot servant?

A brow raised from some of the other vampires as if curious who would speak around them.

Gregory has made her aware of the risks and they are practicing and thinking it through

But make no mistake the young witch's magic is very powerful

As for me, and for Keiko, we may be young, but we have proven we will gladly give our lives for her and the village, I would think that has earned us some respect

Foot Servant... Rather old words.

One of the larger older vampires stands as the old man that spoke just laughed and walked out.

This village should never be worth less than one witch... Or her pets...

With a cold cruel laugh, the old man vanished before their eyes.

Somehow this demon has remained, putting everyone in jeopardy

We are no one’s pets, but we are her friends

Do you choose to stand with us, or remain here doing nothing?

The vampires nodded not liking what had just happened. That had to have been the demon or one of his I'll.

Ambrose settled down

Look,, I wish we knew when we could safely attack the demon, but we can't

She is going to try to pull him out using her magic. but it might work or backfire

We need the very best we have to figure things out as we go...and you gentleman are teh very best we have

You do not seem to realize that the old one who simply vanished could very well have been the demon or something he controls.

It is agreed long before you came in here that we will help

Your point is fair, but I am a bit surprised you could not sense him if he was amongst you

But his ways are wily and clever, only Gregory and perhaps Leena seem to sense his presence instantaneously

If I was rash I apologize, being a statesman or an envoy is new to me, and when it comes to the safety and protection of the young witch...well, I am most passionate

They are family they would be able to sense him better than anyone. He clearly is still trapped in older times with his words and attempt to manipulate with her or the village

Are we making a mistake trying to bring him back?

Perhaps he is caught in some sort of purgatory, unable to get back completely

If so, should we just let him be there?

He must be ended.

They all agreed

It is long over due to relieve Gregory and his true blood family and this village of the demon

Then it is agreed

The young witch, Leena will try to use her magic to summon him

We all, and the shifters will be there to both protect her and destroy him

They nod and return to their drinks and talks.

Let us know when

Whispers slithered into her ears as she slept

Is it really fair to expect a village to sacrifice itself for one person... one little witch who's family abandoned the village long ago?

Keiko went to meet with the other shifters

They had seen the power of the demon to possess

They pledged their support but knew their magic alone was insufficient

Gregory moved to the doorway of her room sending something. She was restless but resting. He even noticed the uneasiness of the house. Then seeing his wife appear by her he moved closer.

I think he is trying to talk to her.

The voice again speaking of family now as she tossed and turned.

Can you hear what he is saying to her?

He is telling her about the banishment as he is calling it. How had Helena's mother listened to the villagers she never would have had to endure those two mortal husbands nor would her mother have been able to get away with not telling her about her power. Attempting to manipulate but she is strong Gregory and the house will protect her they are all here.

Ambrose and Keiko came up behind Gregory and heard his wife

Should we wake her or let her work through it?

The ease with which the demon was able to access her, even in her own house was unsettling, to say the least

Gregory growled and nodded for them to go to her.

Sitting down on each side of the bed

Ambrose brushed her hair and forehead while Keiko caressed her arms

Softly the each spoke to her

Wake up Leena, come back to us lover...wake up

She was whimpering in her sleep. Words slithering around how one person even a witch should not be worth an entire village. How could they think it was worth it to let her live there when her presence is why he was there as well.

The men got more urgent in their attempts to wake her

He appeared to be getting a certain hold

Ambrose responded by pulling her into his arms and attempting to kiss her passionately, trying pierce the veil he held her in

Another whimper as she pulled against him hugging close knowing they were there.

Help him

Gregory's wife whispered to Keiko

Keiko moved down and spooned his lover as Ambrose kissed her

She felt his strength envelope her and protect her as he nuzzled her ear, finally whispering

It's time for him to go away, and you to come back to us where you are loved and belong, come back to Ambrose and I Leena....it's time

The voice faded unable to compete with their love for her.

Till next time MY witch.

His words sent a chill through her the house and Gregory
