Writers, please answer my question as a reader

Jomar, I think you should follow your heart and do what you said you wanted to do in the first place. I still think something a little different would be a fun change of pace. If you need a test reader, I gladly volunteer. ;)

Thanks, maybe I'll run it by you. :rose:

I think you should have a hissy fit and start a thread about the trolls destroying your integrity and that you are going to leave Lit.

After Lauren has replied with a message that boils down to "so who cares?" and Charley has weighed in with some incomprehensible mumbling wherein the words and phrases : Das boot, foot fetischer and sprig take centre roles then it is time to sound alarums and exit purfuid by bear.

Cloudy will inevitably post some Native American rant about indians inventing sliced bread before the incas were thought of.

Ogg will perambulate broadly with at least two mentions of the fact that he writes 50 word stories about hairy girls of the Southern Indian continent.

Whereupon, Roxelby will chip in with some light hearted fluff about wanting to shag Lauren and Pure will then jump on her with his size tens claiming 'naive political motivations for hot girl on girl action'.

Liar will post something in his broken english that no one understands but will take immediate offense at for some perverse reason.

McKenna will then run on and post in his defence because she once saw a Dutch film and even though she could only understand every third word thought it a wonderful thing and then announce that she is leaving Lit just as soon as she can find her shoes.

Then, and only then, somebody will post something with nothing at all to do with any of it in a vain attempt at humour (with a U) with passing digs at Yanqui running dogs and will almost kill the thread stone dead.

I think you missed a few people. :p :D

So how would it hit you as a reader react to reading a no sex chapter with a deleted sex scene thrown in for fun? :)

We already did that, where were you?

Actually, he needs new material. I can see (read) he's repeating (regurgitating) himself.

Alarums, indeed. Retire the bear already. :)

Most of the kind posters responded as writers rather than readers, but I certainly appreciate their opinions.

Consider the bear retired. :)

My response was to Gauchecritic's used-wit, albeit via Stella's comment.

So, what bear are YOU referencing? :)

I thought you were referring to the thread as a bear.

Big smile here.

Honestly, I'd never tell someone to retire their own thread (unless it was by Amicus :) ). Anyway, no offense intended, not even at the critical one (just teasing the tetchy word spout).

Me too. I didn't think you would in a mean-spirited way, I thought it was more of the course has been run thing. I think most of the folks who were going to reply had. And even then, it was interesting to see folks respond as writers, rather than shifting perspective and think about my question as a reader. Like I said, still glad to have their input. And no, Grushenka, no offense taken at all. :)

Nice tits!

Ooops! Wrong thread.
*mutters under breath about second person stories, never could figure them out or why anyone would want to write one. Trolls! Bah. Just ignore them.

Fresh grass! Wanders off.*

Hmm...Is there a lesson in there somewhere? Just who are we writing for anyway?

I hate being so transparent. As an individual and a group. :(

;) :D

BTW, regarding the subject of the thread? If you have a long section of the story with no sex and you've accustomed the reader to regular sex, just disclose it, like this: "There is no sex in this chapter, which goes for the next 1.5 lit pages. Wankers may wish to skip ahead to Lit Page 5, the section entitled, 'Flirtatious ieyo Interracial xuc Womanhood zlzg licking mis Male's skd Dick!'"

On the other hand, as tired and flaccid as the routine may be you gotta give the audience what they want. And what they want is a mention. You're just a gnarly old bint that didn't get mentioned.

(this is not to imply that those that weren't mentioned are gnarly, old or bints or any combination thereof.) (Except the lovely Stella obviously, tache or no)

As to adding deleted scenes: Excellent idea (hate 2nd person though)

Welcome back...

Yes. That would be part of it. (That's hot writing!)

Always leave them wanting more! Thanks, and no 2nd person.

Ask gauchecritic. He's a writerly master baiter, or visa versa.

Hey, stick around. An AV might show up.

I did a search but nothing came up that answered my question. I 'm working on a chapter story and have tried to have sex in each one because, well, this is Literotica. Problem is that in one chapter the sex isn't working for the character, or the setting for that matter. I can take the sex out without a problem to the story and the chapter would be sexless. But it's a nice little scene, so... As a reader, what would you think if I put the chapter in EC and explained in the author notes a deleted scene is included at the end of the chapter for your enjoyment (sort of like they do on DVDs). Would you feel cheated because of the story category? Would it take you out of the story? Would you be inclined to vote based on the whole thing including the deleted sex scene (even though I asked you not to)? Is it bad form? Has anybody included a deleted scene? Thanks.
Without reading anyone else's comments, I'll say that you shouldn't post it until after you post the rest of the story, and I would post it as "Your Story Name Deleted Scene", which would then cause it to be listed on your story page at the end of said story.

I'd imagine it wouldn't get many votes, mostly just from those who enjoyed the main story.

The other option is to rework it into more of a stand alone scene, if you think it has merit on its own.

I did that., actually with a couple of vignettes from "Sarabande"

Ha! Excellent timing - see the post above yours. :D :p I thought of adding "outtakes and deleted scenes at the end. Thanks. God, I love your timing.

And Stella, did it work for Sarabande? I just ran across the Bergman movie the other day.

"A Private Party" has better comments and higher scores than any of the Sarabande chapters, "Bigger Than Us" has atrocious scores and I got some rather irritated comments via email. cosi-cosa... :D

I am so pleased that you remembered. :)

However you have it slightly wrong. I keep complaining that I OUGHT to write about hairy girls from the Southern Indian continent but I can't...

Otherwise, I appreciate that masterly summary of the consistency of the AH. Where would we be without Gauche's trenchant perceptiveness to puncture the over-inflated egos such as mine?

Og (with delusions of grandeur that I can't express in 50 words)
