My long Thanksgiving weekend has only just started and already the war between quality family time and quality writing time has started. How to balance the two and how to manage the bursts of inspiration when it is time to start prepping the meal or do that extra deep clean before family arrives. It is an annual frustration.

I think for both writers and readers, family commitments over the holidays tend to win out over erotic reading or writing.

I learned long ago to declare the holidays a write-off in terms of time for creative projects.

I'm going to the parents house tomorrow, and I'm taking Jo and Donnie with me. So, writing may have to wait till next week now.

I currently have a big family thing and a full house over the next few days. It's easy. Family time is family time. But when I'm in my room I keep writing as usual, even when I hear them talking from afar. I've had a slight slowdown the last month, so I'm making up for lost time trying to finish something. Business is business.

Doing the family thing today I had a burst of inspiration for two current projects and a new one. A bit fristrating but survivable.
