Maybe this was a bad idea.
Lana thought to herself, the train ride causing her to rock back and forth, leaving a nauseous feeling permanently in her stomach. Maybe it was the fact that she didn't know what she was doing anymore, or the fact that he could figure out where she was at any moment. Maybe a mixture of both.
"The train will be stopping at your final destination in approximately 5 minutes. Please gather your belongings, and thank you for riding with us."
She sighed softly, grabbed her backpack from the nearby seat, her purse, and tried to keep to herself. It didn't help that there weren't many people on the bus--just a couple of guys that seemed to be giving her weird glances, and a lady who was quoting random Shakespeare. She had heard the stories, but she didn't know it would be like this.
She closed her eyes, thinking to 3 weeks ago, where she had anything she wanted. Clothes? He gave her a ride to the mall, and a grand to spend as she chose. New Dance Books? He instantly took her to the nearest dance store. A ride and a night out? He had a couple of his friends secure a club, completely with VIP. It wasn't something she was used to-being a 19 year girl, out of a community college, barely making ends meet? She questioned it, sure, but all he had to do was talk in that baritone and it made all her worries go away. She asked about his job, got a few answers, vague, and gave no information. Nobody would tell her either. That made her question the relationship they had had for 7 months. It was hard to deal with--him coming home late, why he always changed his cell phone number, the constant flow of girls that hated her because of her status. She didn't understand it, and Rod never gave her a reason to understand.
She sighed, hating to relive a memory, as the train came to a slow stop. She immediately got off, the chill of the air causing her to pull her jacket closer to her. She wiped the few tears she had away, and straightened her Pants out. They were comfy jogging pants, something she knew she wouldn't mind wearing on the train. She stood for a moment, glancing around. The usuals seemed to be there, giving her weird looks. Was being out of town that obvious? She was close to NY, though she didn't know how close. Sleeping here wasn't a major possibility with the weirdos, but she would have to morning to get a ticket. She had no other choice.
She pulled her corkscrewed hair into a high pony, trying to stay away from anyone suspicious, and sat on the bench farthest away. The closet she got to her dreams, the better.

"Rod. Rod. I'm talking to you!"
"What?? What Lana, damn you see me on the phone??" He yelled at her, his eyes red from the days earlier events.
Lana sighed, crossing her arms over her 36C breasts. She rolled her eyes, doing something daring, crossing over to the phone cord, where it was plugged in and snatched it out of the outlet, her anger starting to get the best of her. She promised herself she would be calm when he got home, and would calmly ask, but this was way too big to be calm about, and the fact that he lied about it so long wouldn't have helped.
"What the hell...Hello?" He glanced at her a moment, his eyes growing dark. He stood up, walking quickly towards her. They were in the office, and she had snooped every bit of it, making sure to leave it spotless of her before he got back. "What the fuck is wrong with you, Lana? Have you lost your mind?!"
She backed up a bit, but did cower, trying to keep her ground. She was trembling now, feeling blood rush to her skin, even though her darkness made it not visible. She revealed the bag of kush she had out of her back pocket. "You liar. Why you didn't tell you sold, Rod?" She yelled, surprised at how angry she was. She threw it down, not wanting to be in contact with it. He laughed at her, chuckling, sending her almost leaping towards him, he stopped her hands easily, his muscles rippling slightly.
"I don't sell, Lana."
"Yes you do. Don't fucking lie to me.I'm leaving you." She said quietly, her black eyes saying it all.
