It just makes you a person who should be a little more careful who they associate with (and probably is, now). I've been there too, once or twice.

BTW, did he really show up on Laurel's front lawn, or are you speaking figuratively?

I think my grammar needs work. I meant it to say threatening to sue AND threatening to show up on her lawn. They are in the same city, and that was just too scary for me.
