I don't think a device will be picked up that easily. You forget that the Dark Beast managed to hide from everyone for at least a year, of course Xavier was inadvertantly helping him out. Also doesn't Charles teach his students about not scanning anyone's brain unless it's either desperatly needed or they give permission?
