I have a new laptop with XP installed. I can't get into the chat because I don't have enough Java or something. Can someone mail me to tell me what to do? Marie-Paule frmp@nomade.fr

I'm no PC whiz or anything but do you have chat enabled on your Pc?
Is it a new Pc? You might have to go to the windows website and download one of their thousands of add-ons.

Go to www.microsoft.com , do a search on Java Virtual Machine, download and install

On another note, XP sucks. For something that was supposed to make life easier it sure is a fucking headache. Many of the drivers needed for the most basic shit like scanners aren't readily available and just don't work with XP.

I installed XP on my dad's machine during Christmas. I'm not installing it on mine until 98 SE becomes virtually obsolete.
