"I'm just thinking you'll be disappointed if for some reason, they decide they don't like me.
"And it doesn't look like I'm gong to sleep anytime soon, so if you want to get on the road, I'm cool with that."
While he didn't want to let Gabriella's warm, smooth curves go, if he wasn't going to sleep, they might be able to beat some city traffic if they got going soon.
Greg went back and started getting dressed. As he did so, he watched Gabriella covering her spectacular body up once more, and regretted its covering. Still, the kinds of outfits she wore, there was still no guessing as to the curves that lay beneath, because there was no trickery involved with clothing that hid unwanted bulges and the like. The shape in the covering was the shape of the filling.
Even dressed, Greg could hardly get enough of this woman. Before they left for this momentous outing, he pulled her in close and kissed her. "Damn, but I love you," he gushed, saying the words before he even had a chance to realize they'd escaped.
The impulse to start making excuses and qualifications made his heart pound, his face flush and sweat to bead on his forehead, but no further words wanted to make a break for it, so he merely stood there dumbly and looked down in fear, terrified that he'd stepped over a line they weren't actually ready to cross.
Those words... She wanted to say them too but they scared her. Yeah she had said them to Ram and Bastien but this was someone with no real ties to her and... A cop. The very person who should be her enemy and yet... She wanted to say them too.
I... I... Love... You.
She was shaking she was normally in total control but right now she wanted to back away from him like a terrified child.
Holy shit. Those words. From that mouth. Did she really mean them, or was she simply parroting back what he'd said? Her look of embarrassment and horror mirrored his own, so it couldn't just be that she was saying it because he had. This whole thing was so wrong from so many angles, but fuck, it felt good.
Greg had no other words to say at the moment, so he grinned and kissed Gabriella like he hadn't kissed anyone else before.
She whimpered into the kiss. Her arms hugged him as she tried to calm her shaking. Everything felt right even outside of the family and that was unnerving.
Greg felt Gabriella tremble as they kissed., and it only made him want her more. God, this whole relationship was wrong, at least from the standpoint of who they were, but love was beyond such petty human values. Greg knew that, and he was sure Gabriella did, too. If they hadn't, they did now. He'd never thought that becoming interested in the new girl at Lance's, learning about her, and asking her out anyway, would lead to a pronouncement like this. However, here he was and here they were.
The crazy thing was, mainly, all they did was fuck. There were still all sorts of things he didn't know about her, and vice versa. However, they were both in situations where finding a mate was tough. Not a lot of women cared to deal with the kinds of things living with a cop entailed, and Greg was pretty sure it was hard for Gabriella to find men who'd stick around for long, primarily due to her family...
So really, as crazy as it sounded, it seemed they were meant for one another.
Eventually, their lips parted and they just stood there a minute or two, just staring into each other's eyes. The embarrassment appeared to be gone, though Greg could feel that another flush would accompany another pronouncement like the one they'd each made...
"It's just I expected those words to come out after a particularly strenuous bout of sex, when our guards were down, not fully clothed and getting ready to do something entirely non-sexual."
Greg loved the sheepish delight on Gabriella's face. It was a good bet the gang at the bar - Lance included - wouldn't recognize her as the same woman who'd damn near taken over Lance's place. It was another sign she trusted him. Even more, she fucking LOVED him. Sonofabitch! Just that one thing thrilled and disarmed him completely. He couldn't help the stupid grin that crept onto his face at the fact.
Greg smiled at the way Gabriella's mind was going. His cock was stiff and wanting a dip in her pussy once again, but...
"I'm leaning toward 'or,' but I suppose if we're going to do this thing, we probably ought to get to it."
It was quite apparent, after the pronouncements they'd both made to one another, however tentatively, that neither was incredibly hot on making this trip anymore. Hot, yes. For travel, not so much.
Still, if they put it off, Greg wasn't sure how soon the next opportunity would come.
"Much as I want to take you up on that 'or,' Baby, I think we probably should get on the road. Maybe something on the way home, because I think I'm gonna be pretty horny all day."
