Your Life Philosophy

my #1 rule has always been...

never, under any circumstances stick a live artillery shell up your arse.

That's it.

:)

Since everything is but an apparition
perfect in being what it is,
having nothing to do with good or bad,
acceptance or rejection,
one may well burst out in laughter.

In other words, meeting life on life's terms and having a good laugh while you watch others taking it so seriously, as though they really can change it. Its an older version of the equally powerful serenity prayer. The quote above is from a Tibetan Buddhist who lived about eight hundred years ago. My old boss said something similar when he said, "You can't push a string up hill."

Live and Let Live....
I'm right where I am supposed to be
It's just ok today

oh and I would like to help kitten eyes and be part of her solution....here kitty kitty

Today , I won't think of any sad things
Will not think of torture , or the rape of nature
Just today , I won't touch those sickening paper's
Will just let myself get swept away by this beautiful day

Andy that should be your philosophy

It's just a bit long to be spouting out everytime somebody ask's you what your philosophy on life is :). I'll just stick with " Enjoy Today , Ya never know what tomorrow bring,s"

A few more

1) "Let us be silent, that we may hear the whispers of the gods." - Emerson

2) "Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes it rains." - Crash Davis

3) "Don't shit where you eat." - Some Guy

Shit rolls downhill...

But why should I live in the valley?

There is only one mountain, but there are many paths to the top.

Live and let live, do unto others as they do to you.

Respect is something you earn, it is not a right.

The "Man"that never made a mistake never made anything.

EZ

Ps. The first is a joke one I live by, the next two are the ones I really live by, the fourth is one I have learned and apply throughout life, fifth wisdom from my grandfather.

I don't have a fancy slogan or anything. All I do is try to make the most of my life, and all of my opportunities.

I also learned that sometimes, as hard as it seems, it's better to get yourself ahead, even if it means beating someone else out. That does not, in any way whatsoever, mean that you should never do anything kind for people because, believe me, I am kind. But what it means is that if it's you or someone else who's going to get an opportunity, make it you.

The most practical, beautiful philosophy in the world won't work - if you don't.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.

"I have PMS and a handgun. Any questions?"

Actually, I've always flirted with "Assume you have the authority to do something until someone tells you you don't."

At least you stop wondering "should I...?" and the bonus is that something actually gets done by someone!

Come on in, the water's lovely

Life's a beach, and then you drown ...

That's not my philosophy, just a trite remark I use from time to time. It does kinda sum things up in a nutshell though, which is a whole lot less painful than artillery shells etc.

Mine is very simple.....

1. Life is not so much about what happens to you but how you react to the things that happen to you.

2. When things happen to you, act out of love, not fear.

3. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.

4. Speak kindly of others, or not at all.

5. Love yourself and you will know how to love another.

6. To have a friend, you must be a friend.

Here's some I forgot:

If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, then what is an empty desk the sign of?

Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining. I have no idea what it means, but it has the word "piss" in it! Heh heh heh!

A Tid bit from my mother as well:

Life sucks and then you die...

Oh and one of my favorites! Grins

To hell with eveyone else your better! ;)

And one that I use to use at work:

You know, everyday that I come in here I am reminded just how much..I truly hate people. :p

One day they asked me why do you think your better then everyone? I said yeah. giggles

My guess is you're over thirty. Your post suggests you've done a bit of living. I agree with everything on your list.
