I recommend the Pinotage I had yesterday, smooth.
Excellent accompaniment for a nice curry.

I tend to stick with IPAs and Imperial Stouts. Since we're driving, can't drink a whole lot, and some of the higher abv beers you have to sip. And a few times I've handed the keys to the wife.

It's fun though, a good excuse to get out on a Friday night with some friends.

I would if I needed one, but we're rarely out that late. And the wife tends to drink much less than me when we're out. But I rarely, if ever anymore, overindulge. It's more about hanging out and catching up.

And being out on a Friday night is tough on people of a certain age.

I don't know if it's resolve. The discounts only last a couple hours. And if nothing else, we're frugal.

You get to keep the pint glass sporting a logo of the featured brewer. As you can imagine, we have quite the collection.

There is a bottle shop on premises, but they don't always have that evening's offerings. And 99% of the time what they give out is on draft.

There is another pub nearby that allows you to fill growlers, and they always have a great selection. Not to mention the best burgers around.

Chris, here's your notes:

No hangover here, good times and good beer last night tho. The IPA was top notch, very hoppy with citrus undertones. The oatmeal stout was really good, smooth, but got a bit sweet at the end. They also had a a hybrid amber/pale ale, which was interesting.

What wasn't that good was the coffee-flavored doppelbock.

Good start to the weekend, all things considered.

The last week was a killer for me, but I'm ecstatic over news that the yummy mummy who is at the center of my life will be spending a weekend with me again soon. Yesterday I found a picture of her that gave me an instant erection as I considered her very round breasts.
