It's a great character Suik, very detailed. But, you know... it's like, we already seem to have more than our fair share of military personell inside the story. We have two cops, a Swat member, Ranger, there was a marine here before...

The whole point is a group of ragtag misfits get together. You know, regular people. Marketing exec's, engineers, bike curriers, bus drivers.


I'm not saying no to your character. I invite you in to post all you want.

I was just hoping for a little more variety in the bunch.

(you might want to. I am thinking of adding a fun surprise in later, and maybe I could use your help, since you're still on the outside, that is)

I know your not complaining but I can already see that if your bringing it up so will the others... aw hell... maybe I should just let the zombies eat my character I took time to think up and post as... then maybe come up with someone else.... but if I do stay as my current character, go right ahead and go with your surprise.

I kinda have to agree with pooh on this one..and yes , I know it sounds like the pot calling the kettle black with my character and all.

The only reason I made her a SWAT officer is that I felt the group would need a tough as nails character to get things moving, a pseudo leader figure. At the same time, being SWAT she was still int eh realm of the norm. Not a marine or kung fu master. And if you have looked at my posts, she's on the verge of a breakdown and is only keeping herself together in order to keep everyone else together.

With this kind of story it is inevitable that the guns are blazing and everyone wants to be the hero. But the underlying point of the story is as well, that no one and I mean NO one is going to save the day. They're fucked.

Its about people stuck together, like the movie, the story is in the mall. And what happens to people stuck in a place where everything is for the taking and there are no laws. Death surrounds them in they're in a box. How does that affect people and what do they do.

I was thinking of taking a page from poohliveand adding another character to the story. A female one at that, seeing as I'm the only one who is going to live through the first day currently., lol.

All being said and done, Suiko, keep the character if you wish. Edit the whole damn post if you wish. I know I'd prefer a regular joe to another rambo, but thats entirely your call.

Oh! No no no I didn't make my character to save the day lol... after all, we all know what happened at the end of the remake of Dawn of the Dead... I will have my character eaten, blown up or sumthing... just not right off the bat. I have no intention of there being a happily ever after scenario with a story like this lol, so no worries about that.

And I was just wondering... since we're on the topic of extra characters per person... do you mind if I create a second character? I have been thinking about it all day and decided that we need someone for comic relief, so I was thinking of creating a Scottish rock band drummer who lost his band and is lucky enough to be alive with nothing more than his drumsticks and a his lead guitartist guitar as his only weapon... figure be some funny stuff tossed in before he eventually meets his demise? That sound alright? I will have to come up with a bio of him on another day... probably Monday at the lastest. Well here's to hoping to a great RP... it is so far and I hope my character contribution will add to what is already a good plot.

LOl, if you folks consider Brad a brad a gung ho action hero thats totally off from what im thinking of him.

My idea of him is a mid 40s guy, slight gut to him , been driving a truck for the last 10 years. his knees are shot, a bad back, and scars from war wounds. All his life, money, investments were in that truck, and now its gone. The only thing keeping him going now is the determination Ranger training buried in him, prompted by the authority the SWAT officer has established.

kyotee..no, i dont look at your character as the rambo type, its just we have a lot and i mean ALOT of people with military or gun training yadda yadda, and i'm not dissing him and encourage you to keep him since now he's an integral part of the story,,,i was just commenting on the general mmode we're all in now

as for second characters.. the only reason i was thinking of adding one is that we only have ONE female character..moi..outside of kaitlynn who is going to bite it soon anyway.. and as much as i personally like the multiman sex in real life,lol, i think theres only so much linda can take after what she's been through

As far as your point on having a second character, Id be willing to create a secondary more "non combat trained" character. But he'd have to be male; call me old fashioned PnP guy, but I always play the same sex i am personally, lol.

Maybe put out a casting call for more female players? And turn things up a bit to interest said players who might not be really into the zombie hordes idea..

I think everyone should come up with a few more characters. Fodder character, as it were... you know, guys who will eventually die in wonderful and creative ways.

That way, you can have your military personell, and your reality people.

I think I took it a step further anyway. I'm pretty sure I've created an entourage, killed them, created a new entourage, and have slowly begun to kill them as well.

Ha ha ha, but it's a story though. Death is what it's all about. You gotta pay to play, as the saying goes.


Oh, and sorry Suiko. My surprise, if it were coming, would probably have been outside in the middle of the street. You are already at the doors.

Truth be told... there are other places to hide beside the mall.

Hence, my next character, (ha ha) another homage to the movie (as if I didn't have a hundred already).

I would think you'd do better in the mall though. That's where everyone else is, I would have led you somewhere else. Stick to the mall.

Just to let everyone know I am just going to erase my character Trevor from the RP.... I will delete my post of him and tomorrow when I get up I will write the bio of my comedy relief character... the Scottish drummer. Well I do hope more women joy. They often make strong characterin horror films and are good fighters......besides you need someone to have sex with while the monsters sneak closer.


Normally I like playing the cop/army type but it seems this world lacks regular people....or at least a few shades that way.

But most of the time manage of the 24/7 a convenience found in the mall. Has a door to the out side so it has 24hr access to the public. Chuck oversees the restocking, mopping, and all the other duties of the store. Sometimes there are even help to manage. In the back office he keeps two viking long swords, a bow and quiver of arrows. Under the counter is a baseball bat and an industrial size can of mace.
