When I hear the first minute and forty-seven seconds of this song, I'm taken back to when I was a kid. Mom is a huge U2 fan so Joshua Tree was played constantly.

I tried writing out the story of this for me, and I honestly can't. I will just say that at one point this song was all of the color in the entire world for me.

Jason Derulo sampled parts of this song, and it honestly made me hate him. He took the catchy parts and left the soul, everything important, behind. And yet, it still punches me like the fist of God, and I have to listen to the real song, and everything stops again.

2 months ago, my answer would have been much more difficult as so many songs for many reasons. Since the news on @PlanetaryNebula , there is one song that will always stop me in my tracks and make me think of her.

That actually happened to me this week! I was driving to work at 6:30 in the morning and this song came on the radio. It had been decades since I heard it.

Back in the day, and I don't remember how it happened, but this song became the "theme song" for my high school JV football team. We'd sing it during our runs, on bus rides, at midfield, in a large huddle after we won... And the lyrics listed always touched my heart -- then and now. It was a beautiful dream and so many of us sang it with conviction and a wish that we could, possibly one day, achieve such a thing together.
