Day 19: A song from the 70s

Few are as good as catching the spirit of a place as this. Fast, complex, and when I saw him live last year, at 78, he still nails it. He said the day he can't is the day he stops touring.

"Soho (Needless to Say)," Al Stewart, 1973

(Neighborhood in London's West End. +1 for 2 total)

The Trammps - Disco Inferno
In elementary school, we had to draw a poster for Fire Prevention Week. I drew the disco inferno. It was the first time I got to talk to the school psychologist. Not the last...

I'm not sure where this is coming from and I've never said or even thought this sentence but that man looks good with bangs. Actually, maybe it's the waistcoat. Idk, I'm just digging the vibe, pardon my thirst 😭

Day 20: A song from the 80s

Dunno if I've posted this one before but, fuck it. It's Johnny's greatest vocal performance of his career and I'll post it again and again until the entire world knows it by heart. The bridge at the 3 minute mark sends shivers up my spine, and I just want to scream along. He gets me all twisted up and wrings a response from my soul.

Ramones - Bonzo goes to Bitburg

Location: Bitburg (German town)

Day 20: A song from the 80's

I'm actually not 100% sure this song counts but I'm going to post it anyway. It was inspired by Rio De Janeiro but ultimately is about a girl and they mention the Rio Grande which is a river in North America... 🤷‍♀️

Rio - Duran Duran (1982)

+1 for a song that includes a location (country, city, county, province, etc)

Total so far: 3
