I didn't know Jack Davenport was in this video 🥵
Day 23: A song from the 10s

Oh Muse. So big. And so forgettable. But I have such a soft spot in my heart for you. This particular song was the one where my daughter and I started to bond over music. Our tastes (hers more than mine naturally) have grown and changed considerably since, we still love this song.

Muse is so forgettable???? Excuse me?! 😜

Day 24: A song from the 20s

The best song on this album, and in my top four or five Bright Eyes songs all time. Everything they do so well is done almost perfectly. Conor's voice. Andy LeMaster's sweet backing vocals. The guitar solo. The octave jump on "I'll pay for what I've done." How he sings "Omaha." It is as emotionally fraught and heartbreaking as any Bright Eyes song, and that says a lot. I am so looking forward to seeing them on tour out here in January.

"Calais to Dover," Bright Eyes (2020)

(+1 for Calais, Dover, Cardiff, London, Omaha for 7 (and 10 Flirtpoints!))
