Just finished making carbonara for dinner...such a simple dish but a family favorite and real hit with friends and special friends. My grandparents lived in Italy for several years in the late 70s, early 80s. My grandmother learned the recipe, made it for us at every big family gathering along with a nice piece of meat, and made sure to pass on the technique and recipe before she passed away from ALS many years ago. Just gotta let it cool so that it can be reheated. So much better the next day or reheated.

We have just as many. I was picturing myself in a hammock covered by a net anyway. My front door screen is metal so they could get in. They are doing me a solid by staying out.
