🔮 What are you doing right now? 🔮

Playing the game of 'how late will the wife be...?' I don't have to be in the office on a Wednesday afternoon, so that is when we do the grocery shopping. Every week I say, 12:30pm and she eventually gets her rear in gear about 12:45-12:50. It really irritates the punctuality freak side of my personality especially as I have an evening class to teach on a Wednesday at the moment.

I had friends like that who would show up a half hour late when I invited them for dinner. So, I just told them a half hour earlier than when I really wanted them to arrive.

Being late, in my mind, is bad manners. I grew up in a house where you were ten minutes early to work so you started on time, and early for appointments so you were on time. My parents still have that clock set ten minutes ahead in their kitchen. 😂

I have never worked out why my wife always seems to be 15 minutes late. Otherwise we have pretty similar personalities, but she must have been behind the door when the punctuality gene was handed out. The caveat there is that I am widely suspected of being on the spectrum, so maybe the punctuality thing may be me being Aspie.

It might be the way both of you were raised. Parents having different expectations and etc. I understand that certain things like order and punctual are something someone on the spectrum might feel strongly about, but I think mine is just the way I was raised.

Like putting things back where you got them or in one place so you can find it easily. Or maybe I'm undiagnosed. 🤔

Or you could change the clocks! 😆

I am a bundle of contradictions. There is a lot of chaos and procrastination, but if I am going somewhere or doing something, I am on time.

Watching a dumb YT video.

Frozen pizza is in the toaster oven, I'm waiting the ding to go check on that.
