My daughter watches a lot of game based you tube videos and a lot of people say modern games are much easier than old school ones. Admittedly, this is heard a lot in regards to the Super Mario range, but I guess back then they had to prove that games were exercising the brain, and were worth it. So it still holds true for games outside the Mario world.

Yeah I don’t know if games are easier or harder, but I do think difficulty is generally now less about arbitrary numerical barriers and more about mastering complexity if that makes sense.
