Wow, I've missed so much! But I really had to sleep.

And for the record as we're describing ourselves here, @Thebrowneye , I am also not furry, instead owl is my soul bird. And the owl species in my username is actually a result of species determination gone wrong - I am more of a little owl, athene noctua, instead of strix aluco. A rare species in my country, though not so much elsewhere on this continent.

A bit like totem animal, but in Finnish mythology. Soul bird is the allegory for soul, or the carrier of soul. The bird carried the soul when life begun or ended, and even while asleep.

Soul birds are one reason why we feed birds especially in the middle of the winter - they may be souls of deceased loved ones. Soul bird might also approach you when in need of consolation.

@BrendaBear drinks Bushmills, and Pepsi, though not necessarily together
@Rj_1954 drinks rum and coke
@LupineOne drinks Kentucky Bourbon barrel ale
@Photog1rl favors cocktails with pear flavorings
@cascadiabound is into aviation cocktails
@Strixaluco loves tea and hot cocoa
@PlanetaryNebula loves white russians and rainbow cocktails
@Trubbycat favors a good whiskey and reposado tequila
@TANSTAAFL58 likes a good whiskey
I like a good beer, whiskey, or margarita

We both are working at the moment but she found a nice restaurant she wants to go to. It's BYO so I can pick up a nice bottle of wine that won't cost a hundred bucks haha. And this morning I gave her the Cheap Trick book she's been asking for (she's a lifelong fan). And her beloved Mets are in the playoffs so I'll be spending a lot of time on Lit tonight.
