We were flipping around Amazon last week and happened across the John Carpenter Thing. I came right out and told my wife there is no way in hell I'm letting her watch that.

I've never seen the 50's version, stumbled on the Kurt Russel version a few times.....I still am not quite sure of ending

First of all she hates sci fi and horror, second of all she's a chicken. Back in the days of video stores there was half the store I could never rent from. Tons of genre films I've never seen.

I always thought that they should have given Kurt a flame thrower instead of TNT...........one on one, watching Thing melt..........At least I'd have known the ending then
