Bushmills is a favorite of one of the regulars here, and Woodford is a nice top shelf bourbon.
Quilters Irish Death is one of my favorite beers. Delicious dark ale.

I don't know what part of the country you live in... might be difficult to find outside of the PNW. For awhile it was only available on tap, but it is regularly available at our grocery stores now.
Might check with your local Total Wine or equivalent.

It's a show with fountains and colourful lights doing stuff with music. Fountains set in a row in the river, not in a pond. It's kind of more versatile than fireworks.

And it celebrates the start of Tampere Light Festival last Friday (the waters are dancing 10 nights in a row). The festival continues until January, all kinds of pretty lights in the darkness.

I got a Facebook message from an old high school friend. His sister, who hung out with us often, died suddenly at the age of 60. I want to give his family some space but he's flown in from Michigan and I let him know I'm up for a drink if he is.

I am so sorry to hear of this loss. Shockingly young (don't you think? - young gets older for me every year!)

Evidently she developed mental problems later in life that severely affected her quality of living. I'm not going to presume how she died, but it happened even with some kind of supervision.
