THANK YOU!

Thanks for taking the time to do that, unofficial or not. I haven't been around here long enough to know what's going on with KM but it would be nice if someone would let us know!

Thanks again!

It's okay LD Jim is heavy in some categories and light in others. you will easilly be able to catch him in bonus points. When you fill 30 categories you'll get 15 bonus points and for filling all categories you'll get 30. That's 45 points plus the points for the stories themselves. That alone pops you over 230 or so. You can still make of go of this. You know what they say. When the going gets tough the tough stop ands get a manicure.

LOL have fun

Hi, Jo. She should worry about you too because you are a strong second the last I knew.

Where are the scoreboards that are the official scoreboards? There is one at the start of this thread and I can click on a name there and get that person's scoreboard. There is a long list of individual scoreboards on that same thread and I can click on them and get that person's scoreboard. I tried to look for Jim's scorecard and the one available has nothing listed except one immunity.

jthserra's score - 325

In computating the score, I have 325 for jthserra. A total of 159 stories and poems. Maybe he's counting pending items ...

Hi Box, I coulda been a contender but I don't think I can hang with velvet. I can see catching Jim because I think I can post ten in every category. I don't think I can catch velvet. She gave me a size 7 up the bum as she passed me.

As for the official scoreboards Muffie said that we don't have to post to them until Dec. 31st. They were just a guideline until then. Jim used to claim 177 points on it. He went back and wiped the board a couple of days ago. First cowardly thing I think I've ever seen him do. Some don't update the boards because they choose not to, some may have problems figuring it out. Took me three or four tries to get it right.

Well good luck to all I'm going to try and win but I'll settle for third. LOL there is always next year. But I am running out of true stories I may have to start making some up. :D

Hey, Joseki!

I didn't mean to stick a size 7 up your bum! Sorry, hon, I just love to write!

Hope we can still be friends!
Velvet

P.S. BTW, I'm an 8 1/2! :D

Ohhh she's cold, gave me the I just want to be friends speech and told me my anatomy was stretched so much I lost a size and a half.

Sob!

Warning Warning....

In September I will be posting the top three people again with their scores.

LOL posting a Warning eh?

That means someone complained. Hmmm I think the scores should be up, much like in Go play above the board. Velvet is stoked and seems to update her score every other day. That leaves jim.

jim did you whine like a girl? :D

(snicker) party on dude. I doubt that it matters whether your score is up or not. Velvet is coming for you man.

I merely ask

that the moderator calculate the scores of all potential contestants and then list the top three, instead of just those that committed to the contest at this time. The rules list that posting the scorecard and scores is an option, an option I declined. Her calculating and exposing my scores, but not calculating the other declared and undeclared contestants, (remember they have until December to declare participation in the contest and until December 20th before they have to notate on their posts that it is for the survivor contest) seems unfairly directed.

To be fair here, the moderator would need to calculate the scores for all declared contestants and also review the posts of all potential contestants and then list the top three. Who knows, I may be in fouth or fifth place, I know some score cards are incorrectly calculated.

I always figured this years contest would take 600 plus points to win. That may be a low estimate it appears.

Whine... no. I made the moderator aware that her choosing to calculate and post my point score only was unprecedented and not supported by the rules. The rules clearly give me the option to publicize my scores or not.

jim : )

Jim, you ought to just be glad that the we actually have a moderator at the moment who is around to take care of things.

Thank you Elizabeth!

Hi, Jim

Although it is true that you can choose to post or not post your scores on your scoreboard, there is no rule against somebody else posting them on a thread. As long as the stories and poems you have submitted are on your index, they are a matter of public record and anybody can abstract information from there and post the information on this thread. As far as whether or not such a posting is within the general rules, they only require that the posting be of interest to other members of Lit. Since the scores of contestants are of interest to members of Lit. who are also contestants, there is no rule against including the info on a thread.

As for posting of the scores for "potential" contestants who have not yet declared, I could do that if I had a lot of time that I felt like wasting.

Personally, I post to my scorecard as soon as I know a story or poem has been accepted, as do most contestants. Although it is your right to choose not to post like that, it seems rather churlish of you to exercise that right.

Jim ... This is Definitely Whining! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

There is nothing in the rules that states that I can't keep YOUR score, nor post it. For your edification, here are the rules as laid out in the scoring section:

Scoring

1. Stories must be published at Literotica in order to earn points. Stories that are pending review or in submission do not count for points in the contest.

2. Each contest will have his or her own Scorecard thread to keep track of scoring.

3. Entrants must track immunities, but posting stories is optional until December 31, 2003.

4. It is the entrant's responsibility to accurately track story scores, immunities, and bonus points.

5. Entrants have until Midnight Pacific Standard Time on 1/5/2005 to finalize his or her scores. Winners will be announced shortly after.

6. If a entrant wishes to, he or she may notify the moderator via PM to update the scoreboard thread whenever his or her scores have been updated. This is optional.

7. Scoring is subject to random checks by the moderator without notice for purposes of quality control.

--------------

Nothing on there states that the moderator or anyone else cannot keep nor post the scores. Me thinks I hear the sound of sour grapes. Believe me, I will be keeping track of your score. As a competitor and as someone who has extra time on her hands, I fully intend to keep a running score. It is my every intention to win the contest, thus to beat you, so I, as well as others, have a vested interest in your score, whether you choose to share it with the rest of us or not.

Boxlicker is absolutely right. I will continue to follow your score as it relates to the contest. As Louis Armstrong said, 'I have all the time in the world.' I hope that you will choose to join the rest of us in the spirit of competition as the posted scores serve to give us a challenge and ultimately make us better.

Thanks,
Velvet

Rolls eyes~

Well I gotta agree with "Box" on that..

and as for E~

tally scores..check the lists, guide us on
the Imunities, update us on threads and

someone running this contest to correspond
with. Killermuffin is unable to..
E~ was appointed and has my vote.
And is doing a great job.
