First let me say this was my first challenge poll to post, confusing to say the least.

the entry package by st_peter was just ridiculous, I had trouble taking it seriously, but it did get a lot of votes, curious if he will be submitting on the new challenge's. ...interesting...

Winner: Throbbs

Throbbs entry was just to damn festive! hahaha! very appropos! the combination of gray and white and the use of color was very striking the bright red really caught my eye. I liked the ups label as well, odd though I now have this strange urge to put candy in girls asses. Good work T!

St. Peter wasn't being serious.
Nor was I in submitting it on his behalf.
I think we can pretty much discount most of those votes.<(I suspect that the people or alts that voted for that entry would not have voted at all had it not been there).
If St. Peter chooses to participate let's let him submit his creations like everyone else.

Thank you!

It was fun...and I did some fun research on bondage..but was surprised not to find this same position even with ropes?

I felt that irezumi's extra special delivery, #4 got ripped off!
He is an excellent draughtsman and always has "weighty" characters.... with substance and hard in the hard places and soft in the soft places. Often a good story being told too!

IF we could have a point system for voting, I am sure it would have been a much closer score.

the *ties* were familiar! although the postion wasnt, pretty cool.

*back to art talk*
3. Kimbalee, a new entrant! Yay!
this drawing was so soft and feminine, it got my vote in challenge package. The small bow conveyed the title of the piece his gift, very well, the colors were very lifelike, very smooth, and I thought the shading was awesome.

4. I thought Irezumi got ripped on his entry as well, it was very well drawn I really liked the tie between package and the Acme delivery guy. I still wonder why it only garnered 4 votes?

5. oh my wild man, I entered kinda at the last minute although I was happy with my colored pencil, gamsol blended picture, maybe I didn't convey the theme package well enough? I didnt do a good job tying the title of the piece in with the theme of the challenge, but I'm happy as winner/ hoster I got to enter.

Yeah, Irezumi really did get ripped...a hazard of the system of voting and definitely not a problem with his drawing ability. I suspect that his realistic women can be off putting to those accustom to idealized fantasy subjects...and the flip side is> the appeal they have for those who are tired of the "canned" version of sexuality...those who are turned on by the possibilities, the tangible nature of a fantasy of "I know that woman! I've wondered what she is like naked."... that same sort of fantasy that is full of the possible...the maybe likely encounter!

A tough call. I have a broader interest in women than many men. Sure I love seeing Victoria Secret Models, Sports Illustrated and all. BUT that is not my "standard of beauty by any stretch.

As for Austin8's assesemnet of his own Wildman... I think he is right, it was a bit of a stretch (hahah stretched loin cloth!) for the word, and maybe not your best exectution. I aslo wonder about having a solitary male figure as your subject. I think, generally speaking, female figgures have a larger audience. My, unfinished "hand" illustration is of a solitary male, also... I wonder how well it woudl have faired, if I had finished in time.
