AMA- Pervy Sage

Hello. So, one thing I have noticed that I find very interesting is you have an impeccable ability to emote via facial expressions, both heavily accentuated and with a impressively broad range. I don't usually see this in the real world, especially in men. I usually see it on TV with actors. Have you always naturally used facial expressions to emote so well, or did you have a love of acting and theater in which you learned to do this, or was it developed through the love of singing and intentionally emoting the feeling and tone of the songs you were performing?

Can you tell I like asking questions?...LOL

When was the last time you embarrassed yourself so bad that you could do nothing but laugh at it? What did you do?

What song was most challenging to perform in front of an audience?

I’ve always been emotive. Hiding my emotion is hard, but also being able to access any emotion at the drop of a dime and showing it on my face has always been easy as pie.

Hmmm....trying to prove to my son that I could still dunk on a regulation basketball goal. I tripped and fell. It was hilarious.

La Donna e Mobile’. Pavoratti is the gold standard for this song and I tried for too long to sing it as him instead of like me.

Would you like to share a recording of you singing that? Or your your fav piece of opera?

Ooooo....that’s a BIG ask! I haven’t done an aria or recitative in so long! Decades at least....

Forgive me in being so demanding. I was impressed by your voice. Your range has got to be awesome. No, I'm not expecting you to still do it.

Who was your first crush on Lit?

I still remember her clearly. Sprinkles123. We were a couple for a year, and then she disappeared with no warning. Deleted every ounce of contact info. First time, and only time, I’ve been shattered here.

Who had a positive impact on you here?

What is the last thing you were dared to try? And the outcome...

Hmmmm. I don’t know if I can answer that question. There are many who have given me a positive experience here. Too many to count, really. But a positive impact? Hmmm.

Last thing I was dared to try. To write a novel in a month. Back in 2017 for NaNoWriMo. I did it in 27 days.

How was your weekend?
We want details!

Hmmm. Saturday, I slept until 10. Woke up and cleaned the kitchen. Makes my crime watch pancakes for the kids, and then cleaned the house. Some friends came over that evening and while the kids played downstairs, we played games upstairs. Then later that night, I ran out to a club and did some poetry.

Sunday I woke up at about 8:30 and made oatmeal. We love oatmeal in my house. I took the kids to church and then had an impromptu photo shoot with them because the weather was so nice. That evening the kids hung out and I graded papers.

Today, I was off, so I had breakfast with some new friends and then came home to work on grades. I made spaghetti for dinner and now I’m grading again.

What is an activity you've missed as a result of the covid-19 situation?

What is something you can positively attribute to the virus precautions for, in evaluating your life now?

Hectic times have come about. Do you feel at times, you've bitten off more than you can chew?

What is a positive attribute about yourself you've had to learn to accept?

Hmmm. I’m very much a homebody, but attending concerts. I love love music.

This second question? I have no idea! Lol. Being an introvert, it didn’t kill me to have to take precautions.

I feel like this every single day in the classroom. Every day.

I’m an encourager of people. I believe in people. Even the ones who don’t like me. I can’t help sending positive and kind messages. Also, I genuinely care for people. It’s been abused and taken advantage of, but never killed off. Even here. I’ve lost more friends because I cared, but when I’m here, that’s who I am. Constantly checking on people, etc, when I have the time.

Out of all the holidays, which one do you cherish the most?

Are your classroom kids beginning to open up to you a bit? Even in the slightest?

Have you tried bribery? A gift card to Dairy Queen, the Outback Steakhouse, Target, or a fun place to go to...ZOOM classmates against in person classmates and the prize would be...a school tshirt or jacket? I know a guy on here. Just look for a company to sponsor this. I know, more work but...it would be good for the school and for the kids.

Christmas. I’ve always felt such magic during that time of year. Call me crazy, but it just feels different. I love the music and the festive mood.

And a little here and there.

Since coming to Lit, have you upped your perv game? Have you learned anything about your pervy self because of what you've read or talked about here on Lit?
