So what if it's Freddie doing these reviews? So what if he's only doing these reviews because he's cheezed at the site for sticking stories in the new list in an order that puts the more inflammatory categories in a lower spot on the new list?

The simple fact remains that Freddie is going out and reviewing stories. It's up to the individual to decide if Freddie's reviews are trustworthy enough to help guide reading selection. Giving some review space to stories isn't a bad thing, no matter what the motivations. Freddie isn't claiming to be some sort of representative of Lit. He's not claiming to be some kind of review-god. He's just claiming to be a woman annoyed by Lit's new list policy.

I say let him review unmolested. Keep the brouhaha to scouries threads, where it belongs, and let Freddie "highlight" stories that otherwise get shorter shrift. As long as the only real lie he's telling is that he's not really Freddie, what harm is he doing? Honestly?

Bingo. As I, as one who was hatchet jobbed at the beginning (and recently quoted it), it's fine as long as the reviews aren't used for any other purpose than the ones he stated. HOWEVER, there's no reason for anyone not to know it's an alt of a belligerent poster, either. And I, for one, will keep pointing it out when it doesn't seem to be realized (or realized how nasty the same poster has been in the past his BOSTONFICTIONWRITER alt).

He's playing a game. No problem as long as innocent readers know the games he's playing.

The bottom line is the Donna Reed persona claimed here is a sham.
