I have what feels like a plague of ants in mine and I want them gone but without using anything that could be harmful to my dog.
Any suggestions?

Ants will just come back. I used to do stuff for reptiles and you put down a refugia, first thing to use it are ants.

They don't like mint if you can put pots near where they get in. Also coffee grounds sprinkled around are supposed to help as they repel them
