Anyone from the UK?

I had some students visiting from India in the late 1990s who put themselves in hospital because they bought Daffodil bulbs from a big Tesco and cooked and ate them thinking they were a kind of onion. It was touch and go for a while.
I had no idea they were toxic

They were in hospital in the autumn and didn't come out until the spring 😁

I should probably learn more about this stuff before trying to fulfill my dreams of being a witchy forager woman who makes her own remedies from wild flowers haha
Witchy poisony person although I'd keep that under the radar if I were you.
