There's two female British skippers in the race - Pip Hare and Sam Davies. Their boats are monstrous and weird.

Pip is based in Poole. she sailed a great race last time.
I was shocked at how small they are... saw one a few years back. amazed they can handle the southern ocean. The race will get me through winter this year. i'll be on the tracker every day.

Medallia's mast is huge: I saw it from a distance and couldn't work out what it was at first. Yea, Pip is a tiny dynamo.
