Are there any true lesbians on this board ?

You love women.

Sexually, emotionally, sisterly. They thrill you, flutter your heart, nourish you.

While a man can be kind, compassionate, interesting, handsome, you can't love them in all the ways you can and want to love women.

The chemistry, or what have, simply isn't there.

What is a “true” lesbian?

I think of myself as a lesbian. But I was married to a male. I think I was trying to be straight, or at least thinking I was bi. The marriage didn’t work for reasons beyond sex. Since my divorce I have felt like a lesbian. I think during my marriage I would have called myself bi.
I have no interest in having sex with males, except maybe with Paul Newman…lol
I had several sexual relationships with women when in college. Was I a lesbian then?

I wonder if being a lesbian, or bi, or straight, is just a state of mind. If you feel like a lesbian call yourself a lesbian, does that make you a lesbian. I currently have a girlfriend, that we started a relationship with a short time ago. I wonder was I a lesbian before I was with her?

Labels tend to be pretty tricky. I am not concerned too much with what people call me. I suppose to some I am bi, others just promiscuous, oh well..

I have always known that I was and am a lesbian but being raised in the bible belt it was expected and I did marry a man, and it took six years for me to come out and get away and be myself. For me to have sex with a man I feel is wrong that is goes against my nature, but when I am with a woman I am at home so to speak.
