Are these numbers true?

I found this survey, and was kinda shocked by the results! :D

Survey commissioned by a company that sells pubic waxing to women*? With 'expert analysis' from the company's CEO? And a great big photo of company's product with helpful info on how to buy it? And it concludes that women need to wax to look sexy?

"Shocked" is not quite the word I'd use.

No detail given on the methodology, but any competent marketing company knows how to bias a survey to give the results they want. You can start with a bit of selection bias (maybe approach men waiting for their wives outside a waxing joint, or advertise in a mag that features trimmed women). Then you follow up with a survey that nudges people to give the "right" response.

In this case, you'll note that the percentages add to 100, so presumably these were the only options given... which means there was NO OPTION AT ALL for men who don't care, or prefer the natural-that-is-actually-natural look. (I love how they've redefined "natural" to involve waxing and trimming.)

In short, it's a load of bollocks.

*The article you linked to doesn't mention that little detail, but its source does. Not going to link directly to the source because it's a revolting woman-hating transphobic pile of shite.

I've gone bare for about a month now for the first time, and think I will go back to trimmed, or laser it all off, one or the other.

Googling, I read "Laser hair removal is quite pricey, approximately $200 a session as of time of publication. Six to eight laser treatments, 10 weeks apart, are generally required for best results -- setting you back up to $1,600"

Does anyone else know if that is accurate?

The pricing sounds about right. I bought a half leg/bikini/underarm package and it set me back to about 2 400$*. The spacing is a bit much - I had to go in every 6-8 weeks, not 10 weeks. And it's not a complete hair removal. It's about 85-95% removal.

However, when you factor waxing, it pays off in about 2 years and it's completely worth it, in my book, if you are a candidate for laser hair removal.

*I am not in the mood to begin a debate natural vs. laser. It's my body, and the only one I have to please is my all.

... Nads CEO Sue Ismiel said: “Pubic hair styles are fast becoming just as important as the hair on your head.

“Popular designs for women and it seems men are the landing strip, heart shape and triangle patch indicating some hair is sexier to sport than “the all-off”. But make sure you know what you’re doing as once styling begins there is no turning back.”

There's a witty smart ass remark lurking in that sentence, but I'll be damned if I know what it is.

My question, what do you or your partner prefer?

I have shaved in the past, I loved the feeling the first day or so, but the stubble was annoying and the constant upkeep got old.

Now I just trim neatly and I am happy.

I always say if I win the lottery or come into a lot of money I'd pay for permanent hair removal, just leave a little on the mound.

The gal I was going with back in the 70's brought up being hairless and we started shaving then. I've kept shaved since then and love it. Most women I've been with since then loved me smooth and many of them started sucking and licking balls that they never ahd done in the past!

Did the all bare thing except for a strip and got tired of it. My husband likes me to have hair, he says hairless is weird. I keep it trimmed and neat now. I actually like it this way more, it costs less to have just a deep bikini than a Brazilian. :D

naturale

There is another post somewhere that I remember posting on this because folks have mentioned it to me, but I don't feel like looking right now.

I personally prefer natural on myself, it feels more womanly and well natural.

I have shaved it completely for a partner who liked it better that way. It was interesting and has me feeling more exposed and vulnerable when shaved which connects to some of my turn-ons nicely. However I'm not much of a girly girl as one might say in things like hair coloring, nails, make up, don't do any of that so guess what.....unless its for a partner there's no regular shaving/waxing etc going on here. Too much trouble to keep up especially when I care for natural myself.

Interestingly enough I have been with some males who shave the pubic area and other parts of their body and not particularly because of sports or anything like that. One was a CA resident and I got the impression it was a West Coast thing, but another guy I have been removes pubic and chest/tummy/leg hair. I don't particularly care for that on a man. I like hair on a man, not 'bear like' though if that's how they are made they cannot help it but hair on a man is masculine and sensual.

It does seem to be an age and era thing. I never even thought about clearing the hair until the one guy seemed shocked when he got there and there was hair. My female friends/family that I shared with or would have up to then, none of them cleared the path, but after the inquiry and expressed desire of this guy I did try it out. And it was ok and ok for our relationship but then after that I talked to some younger friends/relatives (female) and they all have always trimmed/shaved etc whether involved with someone or not. I never had any male prior to the one ask, inquire, expect? oh well

Personally, I prefer women with hair. Although not too much hair. But then I am old. I mean really old. I can remember Elvis. And The Beatles. But not Queen Victoria.

Stop lying! Just come out! You attended her coronation!

I prefer shaved.

I prefer shaved because I dislike hair in my teeth and mouth burns (hair abrasion). Hair also burns my penis, cuz I luv you too much. As late as 1998 one woman went apeshit on me when I confessed to preferring shaved. PERVERT! I GUESS THAT MEANS YOU REALLY WANT A LITTLE GIRL, ASSHOLE. But it seems to be popular since then.

Its mostly women who prefer to shave completly it makes them feel younger. A friend once told me when his wife did it, it was a major turn of. She looked like a child ,only at that particular area, and he's not a pedophile.

I'm a petite person. I still look like a woman, though. When my husband said he didn't like it and that I looked younger I pretty much stopped taking it all off. :/
It's a lot less work this way and I feel a little more confident having it there. :)

I certainly don't do it to feel or look younger, that's for certain! Especially since I can't remember what it felt like NOT to have hair down there.

I do it because A) it is my partner's preference, and B) it feels better for oral sex.

For general looking and feeling younger, I'll stick with Oil of Olay. Fighting the seven signs of aging and all that, you know.

Gee, fooled me. I thought real women were the tall people when I was a kid. And in the 1st grade that was the 6th grader who read stories to us every morning.
