Are we the new sexual revolution?

I do feel like there is quite a bit of crossover between the hetero and homo BDSM worlds, in my opinion.

I recently enjoyed a lecture by leatherman and author Jack Rinella very much, who was the guest of honor at my local (mostly hetero) group.

He IS good! I subscribe to his weekly column. I am straight, but I just change the pronouns ... the underlying message is still generally applicable.

The situation is improving, I will agree. But there is a lot of separation of worlds, too. Which isn't always a bad thing. I think queer leather has a certain flavor that some people in hetero relationships are beginning to notice the difference about and incorporate into their relationship styles, I do think that queer Leather is not necessarily always something done between members of the same sex or gender.

I do think I have a lot to learn from the gay community, but I'm not one to complain about the very separations that make that possible.

I actually met a lesbian top recently who's convinced me I should watch the leathermen play if I want to be the best. I'm not entirely uncomfortable playing with men, sans fluid swapping.

I think I learned the most from those guys, I have to say. Most of the best have spent equal time on each side -- let's face it, they have the owners' manual for the bodies I like to play with most, and some are just evil MFs. Plus I'm pretty much kind of a novelty as a femmy girl, so there's a certain mutual intrigue without lust that's kinda cool.

I'm starting to discover more and more what a novelty I am in the BDSM world and I'm doing my best to embrace it. I think I might find more acceptance among gay players which will build confidence I should be able to cross over with.
