Books which helped to pervert me.

That's like a Good Gal, Lucy!!! U Rock, Gal!!!

Not a 'gal' - I sometimes dress up as one. I'm male, but not really a man either. My ex-wife preferred something as big as two and a half Coke cans to my appendage, which is about the size of a lipstick đź’„ or chapstick tube. I was oblivious &/or in denial for over a year.

But U will accept a caning Darling made up as a Gal, Lucy, will U not???

There were several. The Naked Countess of Liechtenstein. The Story of O. Christina's Virtue (and more of that series, when I would find them in my father's bathroom).

'Topping from Below' by Laura Reese has some scorching BDSM scenes. It is more recent. Nineties maybe.

I would argue that many sissies / subs need to 'top from below' at times, because some Doms need help moving things along. Of course, his fragile ego musn't be upset. That way lies a spanking.

I don't mean DaddyMasterBigCockDom who asks (asks!!!) after two minutes if he may suck my tiny morsel.

A Dom doesn't ask.

Sissies can offer choices or suggest possible outfits that she could wear for him. Always compliment his wise choice.

It probably sounds pedantic, but it is not a bad idea to map out a meeting, whilst accepting that spontaneous changes may happen.

Oral, anal or 'anything goes'?

Soft and hard limits should be agreed. The sub should be aware that soft limits will be pushed, sometimes ignored. Hard limits will almost always be respected, but may be challenged and discussed.

For a university class on 'Autobiographies' we read excerpts from a thoroughly lascivious Victorian 'sex diary' called My Secret Life. I have written an account of how it corrupted me (and led to all manner of pleasures.) Still an amazing read.

Ok, so it's not really a book, but it is reading material, so I'm counting it.

Remember those sensational tabloids like the National Enquirer and others like it? My Granny used to subscribe to several different ones, and I read them much younger than I should have. My favorite stories, for some reason, were the ones about kidnapping and weird sex stories. Why no one kept those things away from me, I'll never know. But, yeah, I'm convinced all that sensationalism has something to do it with my proclivities, lol.

In my dad's office bookshelf were a couple of racy novels - Confessions of a Black Libertine being the most memorable, about a young black man who basically went around fucking white women left right and centre and contained 3somes, gangbangs, even a section where mother and daughter were ravished first by some black men, then a pack of dogs.

The other - I don't remember the title - was about a young Lieutenant in the British army in India in victorian times who fucked indian and white women, then got billeted with a family where he proceeded to work his way through mother and daughters.

Very stimulating for a 13 year old reader.

With 'The Naked Countess of Liechtenstein', you're talking about John Colleton. The first in that series was 'The Trembling of a Leaf', where you first meet his aunt, which started me on my journey. One of the very few erotic writings of novel length I've read that had a real story and deep characters. Written so well.

I've not read nor even heard of that one. I'd love to find a copy of it.

Unfortunately it's out of print, but you can find it (and others by Colleton, there's an entire series of them 'on or about the first day of june', 'Between Cloris and Amy', 'The Pleasures of Cloris', et al ... on Amazon sometimes and other places as well.

In my early teens, I was interested in a career in healthcare. My mom knew my interests, and she knew I liked to read, so she would bring me books she found at rummage sales. She brought me a bunch of books on healthcare-related topics. It was always evident that neither she nor my father previewed the content of these books, because they often covered topics that most parents wouldn’t want their child reading about. There was one particular psychology book that had a fairly large section on human sexuality. Being a horny, curious adolescent, you better believe I read that. It cited the works of such prominent researchers in this area as Kinsey and Masters and Johnson. I learned a lot of interesting things from reading this book and my own explorations. For one thing, I learned about the function of the clitoris. In educating students about puberty at school, my classmates and I were showed diagrams of male and female anatomy. The female diagram had the clitoris labeled, but nobody actually explained what it did. Prior to learning, I would masturbate by humping a pillow or massaging my labia with my hand. After reading the psychology book, I started to experiment with stimulating my clit directly. This was quite a game changer in my pleasure. The book also discussed BDSM briefly, which I already fantasized about a lot.
A couple of years later, my parents bought a box of random stuff from a flea market. My dad found a book in the box and just gave it to me. It was Irving Wallace’s. The Fan Club. This book is about a group of four men who abduct a Hollywood starlet under the belief that she would appreciate their efforts and have sex with them. Lots of scenes of bondage and non-con. It was from this book that I realized these things were a turn on for me.

There was no Internet in the early Seventies when I hit puberty. Some library books had saucy passages, but nothing to pervert me.

On the way home from school, I used a public toilet and discovered a copy of PRIVATE magazine, which had stories as well as pictures with captions back then. I recall a schoolgirl striptease and a woman being subjected to bukkake, which was new to me.

Not long after this, I discovered a book under my brother's bed. It was 'The Story of O' by Pauline Reage. This awakened my interest in BDSM. The character O was too docile and accepting. I would have preferred more resistance. This book probably influenced me more than any other. I pictured myself in the submissive role.

Other books were 'Bare Nell' and 'Orange Wednesday' by Leslie Thomas and 'The Betsy' by Harold Robbins.

Free porn is everywhere now. Do people still read books or remember any?
I remember my dad had a few Leslie Thomas books "Tropic of Ruislip" and "His Lordship" had scenes that young me enjoyed immensely.
Thanks for reminding me, probably find them very tame now

Kushiel’s Dart and more in that series. I love an intelligent resourceful woman who likes bondage and pain as a main character. Surprised the series wasn’t already mentioned.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter, first few books, the ones with romance, before the author divorced and the tone changed. Loved the MMF throuple. Lots of fun BDSM in later books but not enough feels for me.

The Image (L’image), a French BDSM novel by Jean de Berg.

de Berg is a contemporary of Pauline RĂ©age (author of Story of O).

+1 for The Story of O. Found on my Dads shelf when I was a teenager. I've never been the same since. The opening chapter when O is being taken to the chateau, and is ordered to remove her panties, and sits on the cold leather seat of the car ...

I was into BDSM long before I encountered this book, but I'll list it for those who may be interested in a book that seems to fly under the radar.

The Ties That Bind (Le Lien) by Vanessa Duriès.

It is the very personal story of a young woman who delves into hardcore submission.
