Ask the Mouse your lingerie questions...

Thanks, Cookie! These are closer to what I had in mind. Is there information on where to purchase the pair in the first link? I don't have access to Pinterest. :)

When I looked in to the picture with the red lace, it says it's actually a tattoo?!

Here are some of the sites linked in pinterest. I thought the first link had really pretty choices. Good luck!

Con garter belt is suspender belt or suspenders in British English

I also have some nifty straps which have crocodile clips at rack end to attach to my heavier stockings at one end and my panties or shorts at the other. I do not like them as much as a suspender belt personally but they are exceptionally comfortable. Better for shorts, if you want your stockings to show, unless your knickers are exceptionally secure.

If garter belts are suspenders, what do you call suspenders, as in the things that guys wear over the shoulder that holds up their pants/clips in front and back?

Braces:)

There is even a saying about it,

When people have been over prepared or applied too much precaution their approach is 'belts and braces'

Reggicalze is the Italian and jarretelle the French, but you meant the British English right ;). When you think about it they do the same job, suspenders and suspenders :)

Ok, as soon as you said "braces", I have heard that.
Oh hell. What do you wear to straighten your teeth? :D

Braces too!

Alternative answer:

This is Britain, have you lot not got jokes about the teeth here?

Haha! I suppose there is one old tired one of those mucking about over here :p I really just wanted to know what you called teeth braces though. Ok, done hijacking your thread, CM :)

No you're not. Just admit it: you're a serial hijacker and this will never stop.

Oh! LOL. Yeah, a tattoo might be a little further than I was thinking of going. :D

If I find anything to buy I'll certainly post a pic. Though, it's looking less than likely. So odd, really. I would have though holiday stockings would be a hot ticket.

I was hoping that first link - I think it's fiore? would be a good option!!

No to the tattoo as well.

Meant to post here a while back and forgot. I pm'd CM for advice on some quality lingerie for my wife. Took her to Rigby and Pellar. It wasn't cheap but the experience was fantastic.

Now my wife knowing the brands/styles and sizes that fit her best was able to find some of the same knickers on amazon for a fraction of the price. They weren't knock offs either, just last seasons colors and styles which was fine for her to build a new wardrobe from. It took a little time to find items that were available in her size but getting quality bras for 25-50 instead of 80-150 is worth the little extra time.

I have taken a bit of a liking to the halter back styles with lace backs, in pictures. In pictures because I cannot see any with a large cup size.... I quite often go for balconettes so this is a totally opposite style do I wouldn't want to spend too much on the first to see if it suits my shape.... any one seen? Normalish range band size, larger end of scale cup size.

I have no idea what normal-ish band/larger end cup is for you, though. In my world "normal" is 30-34 and F-H, but that's not most people's idea of "normal". lol

Racer-back bralettes are popular now, but the engineering behind them make it difficult to produce in fuller cup sizes. The best option would be to find a bra with a J-hook built into the strap (little clip that connects the straps for a racer back style); second best option would be a racer back bralette that is at least band-sized (32, 34, 36) with hook & eye closure, third best option would be wearing a lace racer back bralette over a real bra.

The most popular ones I've seen are by Free People, but they are designed for smaller busts. Your best bet would be a major department store, and be open to trying on combinations of the above advice until you find something that works.

Soooooooooo...

。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。

I just worked out and I'm really unhappy with my cardio being particularly uncomfortable in the chest region. I know there was talk about sports bras in here somewhere and that there are better options than the S-XL things out there. I'm in need and it's urgent because I can't use my old ones (I'll actually suffocate if I try).

Any suggestions?

Edit: Sports bra talk on page 2. :D

>_> Probably should try to spend less but...

I have a question about garter belts designed to hold an item to one's thigh - say a stiletto or a very small pistol. I am thinking of a thigh garter strap, not exactly a garter belt that goes around the waist, but just around the upper thigh. Ever see such a thing? (FYI I am needing this as part of research more than for personal use... but I want to get the details right).
Help CM! thank you

addendum: I found some wide stretch lace kind of things, but what I am thinking of needs to be period... so I am going with a leather kind of buckle item... what do you think?
