Authors' (and editors') Disrespect of Readers

Well, it's clear that you don't understand what you read. I'm sure I suggested reading the second series by GrumpyGamby. You read the first one. You can tell which is first or second by looking at the dates of submission. I had no input on what she posted in the first series because we didn't start collaborating until 5/4/2010. I didn't realize she had even mentioned me in the first. She does mention that she made changes to that chapter and may have acknowledged me there.

But I'm tired of your angry BS.

Yeah, sure.

This was the first paragraph of the second series listed and it identifies you as the editor.

So, I just don't believe you.

That said, here is the first sentence of the first part of the series you now say is the one you meant:

The doors slid open allowing the woman to step inside.

And in this first sentence is the first imperfection of the piece. There should be a comma between "open" and "allowing."

So, ya can't win for losing, babe.

What I suspect you have all forgotten is the purpose of this site.

This site is here to make money for its owners by the advertisements on it for products and services via other (pay) sites. This site's owners get paid for click-throughs on adverts.

The content of this site only interests the owners to the extent that it draws many users to the site. If significantly more users were drawn by having a nursery rhymes section, one would appear as if by magic.

Indeed, but the Imp of Unintended Consequences may once again piss on the pillars of society. This site's owners' fondest desires may give rise to many things undreamt of in their philosophy.

An author may just be looking to get his/her/its/their rocks off, and may not want responses or comments (and there is always the "disable" option on the "submit" page), but as the late great Darrel Royal was wont to say, "You put the football in the air, three things can happen; and two of them are bad". Likewise with publishing a story on Literotica. I've taken hits as hard or harder than I've dealt, and have neither rent my garments in mourning nor stopped publishing.

Or, as one of the finest writers of this or any language put it:

"If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what's said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference."
