I considered terminating a friendship once because the friend does NOT like pickles. How does one deal with someone who doesn't understand the goodness of a pickle?

Oh really?
I do understand tho, how can someone not appreciate the crunchy outside..the juicy insides... ugh
I would put such a friend on the : no supper together-list
Invite them for supper anyway.
Enjoy the friendship and the added bonus of more pickles for you!
It's win-win.
Food is love and sensuality. Dislike of some flavours and textures has hitherto suggested to mea basic incompatibility in outlook and appreciation of what the world offers or could offer us together.
I am testing a new open mindedness. I'll try most things once

Fake foods...twinkles. Fake cheese. Fake chocolate. Stuff that has chocolate on it for no good reason. Substitutes. Quorn. I am sure there is more...I can see where you are going dear miles there is otherstuff, I do not love heart, or some stuffed cabbag, or things too hot for me too taste them. Or bubble tea : )
Oh, I have one you can ridicule me over! Mostarda! So beautiful, yet so vile, it's like a cruel, cruel trick. I do wanted to love it . And jellied eels.
I am not keen on stuff, sure, but some of it I work on. I used to hate fennel, so I ate it and ate it and ate it; now it's one of my favourites . It was worth it to me to appreciate it. I want to appreciate bitter, grilled chicory, so I eat it at every opportunity. I don't choose crudo meats to be cooked , I think that tastes odd and de seensuslused the texture, and I rarely enjoy smoked cheese and prefer unsmoked bacon. Smoked meats of fish though....
Other stuff I eat for the experience or for good manners.
MostardaLOOKS beautiful, that's part of its cruelty, shining temptation of glowing fruits of celebration; then the most viscious bite imaginable of sharp, sharp mustard. And I like mustard, strong English mustard, but with my glacé fruit and at super strength? Nope.
It's kind of the sharp end of bdsm kinda food though I guess.
Hmm, no , that looks better. I'd try that. The ones I have seen often have glacé fruit in them. Dried fruit would make a surprisingly different sensation I think; more natural!
I have transient allergies and some eating restriction. It's like chastity not my choice. .
My only by choice big restriction is ethical food sourcing. ( and big carb meals on s big sex night, I just go to sleep instead around my happy, carby tummy)
Looking as tired as I deserve, having danced with the moon at four this morning and with fireworks afterwards. ( and having wet hair and bad skin today. I maybe don't care so maybe I am starting to get over myself a bit...gb got an unflattering pic of me in my slippers just Wednesday!)
