Beautiful...yes; breathtaking...yes; awesome...yes. But, also, devastatingly sad.

I've been to Stoystown to the Flight 93 Memorial several times and have cried every time I've been there. But, I wanted to share a couple of pics from there, specifically of the platform you stand on to view the area where the plane actually crashed and then a few pics of the wind chimes that were installed. They were not completed when I was there last...I need to go back when the weather warms up again so I can actually hear them chime.

i have no shame in sharing also. that i too well up, at the remembering of Flight 93. not only with tears, but with a deep pride at what is represented " The Home Of The Brave ".

SS...I have pictures of the inside of the museum also but it’s just too heartbreaking. I have never been able to listen to the recordings of the final conversations between the people on the flight and the loved ones they called. It’s just too incomprehensible to me that ‘anyone’ should be able to hear those final words between husband and wife, parent and child, etc.

And, you’re right, they truly were heroes.
