This whole buddylist thing seems very competitive to me. What are my chances of making it? Maybe I need some new material...comedy...drama...sexual innuendo..naked pictures...and then if I make it can I stay on it or be cast out?!:eek::eek:

Hahaha. You've been on it for a long time, you just hadn't noticed because you never got the dreaded screen when you've messaged saying "rejected" - or something like that. ;)

I'm yet to have my holiday although not working for the past 2yrs some think I've already been on holidays.

Going to the Barossa Valley (wine country) in South Australia to explore the area if I can get to the airport. They would have to do road works just when I want to go somewhere. A long travelling day no doubt.

Hope your year is going well thus far :kiss:

How far away from Adelaide is Barossa Valley? I've always wanted to go there!

yes but was it overwhelmingly funny :D

The place I'm going to is Hahndorf near the Barossa about 35 mins south of Adelaide. A quiet little town but is very popular as a base to tour around the wineries. Also now has some micro breweries which wasn't there before.

It sounds like a wonderful way to spend some time. I have a friend in the Adelaide Hills that I play online scrabble with, who sends photos of the area. It's spectacular and has fueled my desire to visit there one day.

I don't make resolutions, I make goals. I am simply going back to this as a way to manage my time on Lit now that school is starting again. The down-side is my post count will go up by chatting in threads. The upside is I can post in threads instead of deleting unwanted messages. I give it a few weeks. Sometimes those who write tend to be interesting. :)

Thankfully the area I'm going to is a little cooler than Adelaide city. Still hot though at this time of year. At least it won't be raining while I'm there, just lots of heat and sun which seems ideal for having a cold beer or three.

I leave in a couple of days. Will be interesting to see how the place has changed. Whether it has become too touristy or has kept its small town charm.
