Sounds like dilaudid...hydromorphone hydrochloride. They gave that to me for my surgery and it's scary. It works super fast but it sent a burning sensation through my entire body, even the roof of my mouth and my ear canals. Made my heart pound too. For about a minute and a half after they gave me the IV I thought I was dying, lol.

I am just grateful for perc at this point. If they'd asked me to rate my pain on that dumb 1-10 scale, it would have been between an 8 and a 9, which was worse than my multiple-organ surgery. But even with it, I still hurt. The perc just dulls it some.
