Try right clicking the image, select properties, and try viewing it in another tab, or window.

Sounds like you might have installed anti-spyware that thinks you're getting force-fed images you don't need.

Time to dump IE.

i have a firewall and anti spyware... i know some say they are unnecessary but i am not computer savy and i get less attacks and viruses with them... but i wish i could see the photos

I have a firewall, ZoneAlarm Pro, and I run avast virus stuff. I get the pictures, but once in awhile there is the red x to deal with, and I do that as AA suggested, and then I see them...

Hope you do get it sorted for you.
