Blood and Fire (Intrest/OCC)

Ar.jpg

Name: Faye Arryn

Titles: Lady

Age: 22

Position: First daughter of House Arryn, second in line to the position of House head.

Height: 5´9

Weight: 126 lbs.

Personality: Lady Faye has always been smart, open and affectionate in private. She shares a strong, intimate link with her father, Jon Arryn, the King´s Hand. She tries to make herself helpful for him, knowing how important his status is, and conducts herself accordingly in public. Her grace, elegance and politeness, coupled with her long, raven black hair, her dark eyes, pale skin and attractive figure make her easy to talk with. She is also a learned lady: she can read and write, and often visits the Red Keep´s library both to satisfy her own curiosity and to obtain new conversation material of all kinds. Her patience has made her a welcome visitor to Maester Pycelle, who often provides her with whatever reading material she wishes for despite Jon Arryn´s occasional hint that he should inconvenience her now and then.

Her openness and willingness to engage in conversation with anyone has allowed Faye to establish some good rapport with most courtesans, though knowing the nature of the Game, one would do well to suspect that this is a situation quite open to change. Though Faye is open, she is also discreet, so it is not as if she was revealing secrets left and right, but subtle hints here and there can cause trouble.

If there is one obvious flaw in her character, it is that she pays no heed to the cruel jokes some envious women and scorned men dedicate to her, considering them the product of stupidity and envy. Though it may be true that they are owed to these facts, Faye is oblivious to the fact that someone can hate you or love you for reasons other than your behavior.

Is it to late to sign up?

Read all five books and love to troll people who just watch the HBO series, interested in maybe bringing the Dorne angle to the current storyline, kinda partial to being a member of Starfall Hall but if I have to, I don't mind painting "Ours Is The Fury" on everything I see :p

No, feel free to sign up as you wish.

Faya Arryan is also accepted

Will be working up a post sometime today. My time management needs a tuneup these days so I have to shuffle things around a bit sometimes hehe.

No, Stone is for bastards in The Vale.

Yeah, that's what I want to be. A bastard from the Vale. Maybe I can have a tense and angry attraction to the Arryn girl if I run into her. However, my character does live outside of the Vale at the moment and works for Ser Gregor Clegane, the Mountain. He might change his mind when the War of the Five Kings begins (if it does)....or whatever war develops instead. He is already having second thoughts, due to his personal revulsion toward the Mountain's ways.

Perhaps "sellsword" is a better description for my character, since while he might ride a horse at times, there is nothing knightly about my character at all. He is a bastard and not a bit ashamed of it. He delights in defying his "betters", too. An upstart, in short.

I suspect that the Mountain and he will cross each other and my character will have to choose between fight or flight. The odds of defeating the Mountain are slim, of course.

Well everyone said the mountain would destroy Oberon Martell and look how that one turned out :D

Question for sword: How deep into the fighting are we? I was thinking of playing a new Sword Of Morning who came with Oberon to King's Landing when he marched to take his small council seat, but the real reason he came north was to try and find Edric, who I assume is still with the brotherhood without banner since Dondarrion is not dead yet?

So, wait, if there is no actual fighting, maybe it's better to have my character just negotiating with the Mountain for possibly entry into his company....only to be dismayed at his apparent plans for rape and pillage in what is supposed to be peacetime. My character is expecting to just serve as an enforcer for the Lannisters, a good employer with all of their wealth....not a glorified bandit.

Or maybe the Mountain can wait. There is a lot of stuff that can be done in the meantime.

The band of misfits that served the Mountain raped, murdered and burned everything from one side of the Riverlands to the other, pretty sure if you wanna be a Lannister paid bandit, he would be the perfect person to serve under :D

I'm going with the idea of starting with the Mountain as a "misfit", only to grow disgusted and eventually be pushed too far. My character is more jaded than evil. He hates the Mountain even as he serves him.

Well that works, but if I know the Mountain ( not literally, not delusional :p), he would kill anyone who tries to leave his command.

True....which makes for an interesting pickle for Ean. When the time comes, how to get out of this deal with the devil? Just posted, btw.

Wait until hes summoned to kings landing alone to champion Queen Cersei against Oberon Martell and then find the fastest horse possible, ride like the wind and hide in the Vale or take the black :p

A BIT too far ahead. King Robert is alive and well, Jon Arryan is alive, if not as well. Game of Thrones hasn't even started yet. There has been no raping, pillaging ,or other assorted large-scale conflict since Greyjoy's Rebellion.

Ser_Arthur_Dayne_by_henning.jpg

Name: Sir.Loren Dayne

Titles and Honors: Sword of the Morning, Reagent of Starfall Hall, Dornish Lord, Anointed Knight of The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros

Age: 25

Position: Sword of Morning, in layman's terms: the greatest knight of House Dayne and wielder of the sacred great sword Dawn.

Height: 6'1

Weight: 200 lbs

Hair: Pale blonde almost Platinium

Eyes: Violet

Personality: Being the Sword of the Morning is one of the greatest titles that anyone could ever achieve and yet the burden is almost to much for Loren to bear. There has been hundreds, maybe even thousands of Swords of the Morning and yet everyone can only remember one: Sir. Arthur Dayne. Known as one of the greatest knights to ever live, how do you live in a shadow cast so far it covers almost everything in its darkness? It is not the easiest thing to do,being the next bearer of Dawn after the famous Sir Arthur especially with a spottier past than even the Dark Star. Despite that, among the people of Star Fall hall, the Dayne lands and the neighboring "stony dornishmen" Loren is known as the Rising Star, which is a well deserved name and a good contrast to the Dark Star. Loren was a bastard, the black and forgotten mistake of the Lord of Star Fall, though the Lord already had a young, bright heir in his son Arthur. Loren was raised in the same manner as Arthur who was many years his senior but was disguised as the weapon masters son. Raised to believe in knightly virtue, his chivalrous streak was solidified by stories of his hero, Sir Arthur, who Loren spent his entire teen years training every day to be like. Sharp, bright, serious, quick and strong described Loren as he drilled in the knightly ways day in and day out, earning his golden spurs fighting along the border of Dorne and The Reach, killing Oakhearts and earning much renown among the warriors of House Dayne. Ambitious but more in a dedicated way than out for personal glory and loyal to a fault, Loren was so happy the day he was annoited a knight and its still one of the things he cares very deeply about yet he never got to ride to battle beside his role model Sir Arthur having died in the War of the Usurper, the memory of the day that Lord Stark appeared at the gates with Dawn wrapped in silk, still haunting him though he was still young.

After the other tragedies befell House Dayne, there was very few left of that blood line and after a few more successful fights along the border, finally it was time that Dawn was placed into the hands of a knight of Dayne. Many fought over the honor, Loren did not because he felt unworthy of the honor and knew he couldn't ever live up to his older half brother Arthur's example. Though there were many debates and competitions, the wise Maester finally decided he was tired of all the debates and brought Loren forward, revealing him to be a long lost bastard and produced a royal edict from Prince Doran Martell at the Sunspear to naturalize Loren as a Dayne and name him The Sword of Morning. His lineage revealed to him for the first time as well as to the others for the first time, many of the young and older knights and warriors of Dayne hailed his promotion. Always aware of the great honor, Loren is always trying to prove himself worthy of it, worried about dishonoring Arthur's memory and is happy to be The Sword of the Morning yet sometimes finds it to be a burden he neither wants nor feels like he deserves and it weighs on him.

Keeping Hadick's purpose there ambiguous for more than just giving us some freedom with eventually why the group might come together. Could be he was summoned by Stannis or any number of people in court for some issue of sorts or because they have important business that requires a northern perspective who knows.

I will post up a retainer to accompany Lady Faye, just working out the details, it'll probably be up tonight :D

Name: Nathun Shemell

Man at Arms

Age: 33

Position: Man at Arms, Retainer to Lady Faye Arryn

Height: 6'7

Weight: 280lbs

Appearance: Nathun is not only intimidatingly tall, but his form is broad and hugely muscled, a size that makes him a terrifying, as well as a deadly opponent. His body is scarred and battered from war and he walks with a slight stiffness in his left leg, legacy of an old war wound. Despite his size, and his stiff leg, he moves with disproportionate speed, often catching unwary or over-confident opponents off guard. He is dark haired and his face seems to be perpetually covered in stubble, despite his protestations that he shaves every morning.

Personality: Despite his huge size Nathun is quick witted and gentle, he is well aware of his huge strength but is excessively careful with it. He is wary, the kind of man who keeps an eye on his surroundings at all times, to such an extent he has a bit of a reputation for having eyes in the back of his head. This is probably why he was chosen to watch Lady Faye, he has served Jon Arryn since the War of the Usurper and is unshakably loyal and a lethal companion to have by your side in battle, even compared to both Knights, though his favored method of war is the bow, his massive musculature is owed to years of training with an enormous bow, bigger than average and capable of sending an arrow through an oak door at over a hundred paces. Not only is the bow powerful, but from his years of practice Nathun can fire with terrifying speed and accuracy.

He is not particularly well educated, but has a basic grasp of reading, writing, and counting. While he is not noble, or learned, he is particularly proud of his abilities and easy to offend, his temper has been the start of many tavern brawls in the past, though his brutal strength is often the end of them.
