Bondage Trivia

I have a worse habit of wearing lingerie as dresses and camisoles, that aren't supposed to be dresses or camisoles, so I'm probably not the best one to ask.

I am torn on the dubject, though... the prim and proper part of me gets horrified at the idea of my slip intentionally showing, while the scattered, damnit this is too cute to hide part of me doesn't care. LOL

That's where I'm at! Well, except that I'm more worried that person after person will approach me and say, excuse me, your slip is showing.

Given what kids are passing off for clothing these days, I *dare* someone to think I'm tacky for my slip showing. lol

[hijack]Psssst...sorry for the hijack, but y'all are pretty much the lingerie people on this board...So, whadya think about the trend of wearing a cute slip that's a little longer than your dress, and letting it peak out? Super cute? Or, dude, your underwear is showing? [/end hijack]
Tsk..... Tsk....... putting your fetish above fashion dictates. 98% of the time sorry to say I would be going with 'ohh dear'.......omg :laughs: . I am not overly conventional with fashion , it would be a fine line between looking demented or gorgeous no doubt. Petticoat showing with a something wenchy skirt is one thing, with a straight split skirt it's bordering on ummmn ......sad. More importantly what does he whom must be obeyed think ? What does he prefer ?

Ohh lawdy only one woman had the charisma to break that rule and it was only a movie.

Ohhh no nononono. My 40s suits are always worn with great attention to detail (even if no one else sees the details, as they are hidden by the suit).

But a cute, flirty full skirted dress? Acceptable to show a hint of silky fluff underneath.

Embroidered, one flounce crinoline (not see through)? Worn as a skirt with a cami-tank.

Damaged rayon nightgown from the 30s, the bodice dripping with lace? Chopped, hemmed, and worn as a camisole top with jeans.

Darling (and I do mean *darling*) pink acetate nightgown from the 40s, with puffed dotted swiss sleeves? Worn as a dress (with a proper slip underneath).

Was looked on as something shocking,
But now, God knows,
Anything Goes"

You mean Jesus? Oh sorry, I've been reading that other thread. ;)

That was Mammy's red taffeta petticoat, purchased for her by Mr. Rhette Butler, which she swore she'd never wear, but did wear... I think after Rhette and Scarlette's baby girl, Bonnie was born... it's been waaaaay too many years since I've done the GWTW movie marathon...

I just remember the cheeky look on his face when he presented her with it. They were both such remarkable actors. Her blush & fuss was superb . Damn living so far away , would be so cool to have a girly night of movies , swooning & stuff. I would make naughty canapé ......... :D

Ohh I still haven't fessed up about my embarrassing behavior viewing Mr Oldman's Dracula movie the other evening, must get around to that .........sometime.

Edit Have to invite Fu as well of course :)

If my mother had bought me pretty slips like that maybe I'd have worn slips. As it is I haven't worn a slip since my mother stopped having any say so in what I wear.

That said - if I went to the trouble to wear a slip under something I was wearing, I wouldn't let it show. But that's mostly cause I'd have gone SO out of my way to look PERFECT, and wouldn't want to look anything less.

getting back to the topics title, Not that the side chatter is bad,

The rule of thumb. this goes back to the olde english era. It was law that stated you could not beat any of your servants, wife, kids, etc... with a stick any bigger than your thumb.
