No seriously, been lurking for awhile in the dark - found this to be an oh-so-intriguing thread (imagine that!).....but it seems to be "circling the bowl" now, so to speak.

I think it's a great idea - but I'm as much talk and keyboard bravado as the next guy. Would really need to do it one of two ways - planning it out ad naseum, or someone taking hold of the reigns and just declaring a time and place...

OK, I agree, we've drummed up some interest and we just have to DO IT. I haven't seen any objections to Jillian's, and have no particular suggestions myself (not having been in this area long as an adult)... so I put forth to you fine people... Jillian's in Boston, Friday the 19th. Say... 8-ish? I'm trying to make it not too early to feel work-related, but not too late for those of us who have to get on home at a decent time!

Post here or PM me & let's see if we have a quorum!

I'm assuming a weekday night wouldn't be so convenient... but maybe that's easier to fit? Feedback please!

So, how to find each other? Is there any part of the place that would be the best hang-out spot? I've never been there so can't suggest anything. I should be fairly easy to spot - 5'4", thin, red hari with blonde highlights, probably looking somewhat lost...

If it ends up Jillians is the place and going to be this Friday night. it is a rather big place but pick a place & time... do we all know first names? Be odd walking up to someone saying "are you from Lit"? no? I would rather not give too much specifics on this site fir all the people to see (discretion reasons) but if someone wants to PM/email me.... we can get some more detailed info to one another... its gonna be tough but i am sure we can all get a time/place....

How to find each other: I don't mind asking people if they're there for the Lit group... that's innocuous enough. It sounds like a book club meeting! Hmmm.... what piece of literature should we discuss... ? It would be easier if the search is in a particular area only, though. Can anyone suggest a part of Jillian's which would be a good place to lurk and meet?

Jillians will be great....good atmosphere. If people start to arrive early enough you can usually claim a small section just around the far side of the pool tables. 3rd floor I believe it is. as you enter the 3rd floor, walk around the main pool table area to the left....its usually the emptiest area if you arrive early. I'm Hoping to get out of work early enough to stop by....
