I hope you are fleet of foot, because you just joined @barefootgirl69 in tomorrow’s fox/nerf hunt. But but...I just got here and I like power tools
Same! I'm a little paranoid with those, just because of the potential for positional asphyxiation. The restraint training from my CO days drilled it into me. But, as long as you're careful, lots of potential there.I haven't gotten a try one yet, but I would agree, I could see it being a lot of fun.
I also wouldn't mind making one of those saddles that you can drape someone over and tie their hands down to it... But that is more of my deviously creative mind at work.
I hope you are fleet of foot, because you just joined @barefootgirl69 in tomorrow’s fox/nerf hunt.
I admit I didn't know for sure, but it's certainly not a corvette (or a galleon;-): I have now hit the limit of my knowledge of military ships under sail.I had to go and look up to make sure it was in fact a frigate. I'm both proud of my nerdiness and sad I didn't know that off hand.
Who's starting the fund for @barefootgirl69 ?
It could be a schooner, or maybe a battleship.I admit I didn't know for sure, but it's certainly not a corvette (or a galleon;-): I have now hit the limit of my knowledge of military ships under sail.
The funny thing is, what exactly a frigate is has changed SOOO much over the years, especially from the days of sail to the days of steam.I admit I didn't know for sure, but it's certainly not a corvette (or a galleon;-): I have now hit the limit of my knowledge of military ships under sail.
Being in now is just a mind fuckOh man, the entire concept of naval warfare has changed so much. Has someone who was in the Navy, I can confirm that the days of Even visual warfare between ships has long past.
It really is crazy how far we've come. Who knew the Battle of the Coral Sea, with the fleets never making visual contact, would end up being the norm in short order.Oh man, the entire concept of naval warfare has changed so much. Next person to reference Jimmy Buffet lyrics goes to time out.The funny thing is, what exactly a frigate is has changed SOOO much over the years, especially from the days of sail to the days of steam.
Did I reference a lyric? If so, it was 100% unintentional, which is hilarious.Next person to reference Jimmy Buffet lyrics goes to time out.
That’s how it’s going to be now. Everything now is about information, the country with the most will winIt really is crazy how far we've come. Who knew the Battle of the Coral Sea, with the fleets never making visual contact, would end up being the norm in short order.
Things change so rapidly now that if you’re not staying on top of it you’re gonna learn the heard way.I have heard that from the Army and Air Force side as well.
Being in now is just a mind fuck
I have heard that from the Army and Air Force side as well.
Haha, I was navy, and I'm now Air force, and the military in general will just completely fuck with you. The only reason I stay in it is because it offers some stupidly amazing and unique opportunities.Being in now is just a mind fuck
Only if they're not shoving them in their noses firstMeanwhile the Marines are still eating the same ol' crayons?
I just had to with the lack of Marines being mentioned, haha. For the record, my friend that's a Marine once told me the purple ones taste the best.Only if they're not shoving them in their noses first
That’s a fact but I’m lucky I’ve been in 8 years never stepped on a boat in my life but it’s taken me around the world a couple times.Haha, I was navy, and I'm now Air force, and the military in general will just completely fuck with you. The only reason I stay in it is because it offers some stupidly amazing and unique opportunities.
Fuck, that reminds me that I have a mess dinner coming up and I still need to get parts of my uniform tailoredI mean ah, yes true. Which reminds me as an army wife, probably should go wash a uniform for next weekend. Need to double check that ever changing schedule.
Shit you not one of my schools had both navy and marines and some one cleaned out a vending machine and only put packs of crayons inMeanwhile the Marines are still eating the same ol' crayons?
