Bro’s thread

I was working late that night. I woke up just in time to see the second tower fall. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I asked my then wife why she hadn’t woken me up. She said “You were probably the only person sleeping peacefully, I doubt any of us will for awhile.”

9/11 stories Brothers and Lurking Ladies.

I was in college at the time and found out after leaving a class. Headed straight to the dorm and watched the events continue to unfold in the lounge on the TV with lots of my college roommates.

I vividly remember sitting in a coffee shop and listening to President Bush’s shock and awe speech about the attack we were about to make on terrorist and discussing with my girlfriend the changes that were happening to our world in front of our eyes.

My older brother was in Boston, attending university. I was in 3rd year of college. I was living in our home country, across the Pond.

I couldn't reach him and I reached out to some other friends via MIRC (remember the IRC client?). They called him from a couple of landlines and finally located him.

When my mom came home, I told her, something happened in New York, but my brother is safe.

Anyone going to win fantasy football today because of this game or just me?

I sadly didn't get in on any leagues this year. Both my old jobs had them, but nobody at the new job started one up and I didn't have the time. I'm just enjoying football for football this year, haha.

Loved seeing the Jets win even after losing Rogers.
