Business Travelers Unite

Seems like I'm finally getting notice before travel - and I'll be in NYC (midtown) early next week.

I see that there seems to be several people that are traveling to the same location (unfortunately it is all guys) so maybe you should get together and hit the bars in whatever town your are in. Always nice to have a wingman/wingwoman when out.

In Philadelphia for a few more days ugh!!

Decided to pass on eating out alone tonight and just got room service instead.

Hate, hate traveling😣

I'm in San Francisco until Friday morning. I'd love to be able to hang out with someone this week, but I'm not sure I'd have the confidence to pull that off.

I hear you. I pass on eating alone quite often and do room service too! The joys of being on the road! Ughhh..., 😊

I enjoyed a nice meal in my hotel room last night and after talking to my wife and kids decided to head downstairs to the hotel bar for a drink.

I don't mind having a beer or two while watching a game on the TV screen but something about eating and just sitting there while chewing and chewing one's meal just suuucks?!?!

There were a few ladies sitting at a table nearby but I was way too shy to approach and say anything. I saw one of them this morning at the gym and did have a nice conversation about being up so early to so what we need to do to stay fit??

It was much less intimidating to strike up a conversation this morning than last night. Maybe I'll see her again later?

You will never meet anybody if you stay in your room. If there is a hotel bar or some restaurant with a bar, go eat at the bar because there is always the chance of somebody sitting near you to strike up a conversation with. I once met a woman while eating at the bar in Planet Hollywood. We started talking about the music video playing on the TV over the bar. The conversation lead to a drink in a more intimate bar and finally back to her room. You got to get out if you want to meet anyone.

When business traveling, always look at the evenings as an adventure because you never know what might happen. 99% of the time nothing will but there is always the chance of meeting someone. Even just spending a couple of hours sipping a beer and talking to an attractive woman is fun. Hell, just people watching is better than sitting in the room doing the exact same thing you do at home every night.

I was in Atlanta one time when one of those comic cons was going on. At first I could not figure out why there were people walking around the streets in costumes but I ended up at the Marriott drinking beers and watching all the people in their crazy but amazing costumes. Another time I watched them film a movie on the street. You never know what may happen in the evening if you don't get out.

I travel almost every week for business. Last week it was Boston, next week it’s DC and Baltimore and the following week I’ll be in Toronto the latter part of the week. Hotels are my home away from home these days.

Atlanta anyone??

I live not too far from the airport. I know some fun dives to get a meal and drinks. 😊😊😊

Week has ended!!!

On my way to grab the rental and a short 2 hour drive home!!! Cant wait to see the family!
