Can being a new sub be overwhelming?

Great post, IMO! I always equate those who push right off and/or demand a picture with a HNG and write them off immediately. That's not ever going to fly with me.

I hate the "I'm a Dom, show me a picture of yourself, slut" mentality. Constantly being bombarded with that is enough to scare any new sub off.

I can understand not wanting to waste time, but someone who considers manners and patience a waste of time...

New here and happy to have been pointed in the direction of this thread.

I'm not 18 but feel like it at times. I just put a hold on a submissive relationship and the possibility of another one and I'm feeling lost.

I guess I wasn't ready for a full-time relationship. I wanted it, still want it and don't think that will ever go away. I don't know if fear of commitment scared me away or pressure or just heartache.

Life is hectic anyway, toss in trying to work on a D/s relationship and it gets harder.

A question: how does one really know if it's fear of commitment or fear of submission?
